초등교육 관련 학위논문에 나타난 수업 구성요소의 분석

Abstract

Teachers and students spend most of their school hours in instruction. The precise judgement about education starts with the understanding of what instruction is and what happens in instruction. In order to find the trend of research in the Elementary Education, it is useful to analyze theses and dissertations. The concrete research-problems of this deesertation are as follows. First, how are the distributions of factors composing insturction in theses and dissertations? Second, how are the distributions of sub-subjects composing instruction factors? Third, how are the object and the approach of dissertations? The object of this study is Five hundred-seventy four theses and dissertations on instuctional situation among the researches on the Elementary Education during the 1980's, and the method of analysis is to examine instruction factors according to the period and factor. The results of this study are as follows. First, when we divided the instruction factors into personal and non-personal, the rate of personal factor was higher. Among personal factors divided in children, teacher and children-teacher item, the study of children was the most and among non-personal factors divided in content, method, supervision, evaluation, environment, and extra item, the method and the content item were the most in consective order. This showed that they gave attention to how to teach and what to teach. Second, when we examined the distribution of subject instruction factors in children item the accomplishment of class in the midst of intellectual sphere, in teacher item the teacher shape as a vocational man rather than personal aspect of teacher, in teacher-children item leadership in teacher and learning in children are more studied. In content item, especially the studies of social subjects and moral subjects were many, so it reflected on the unbalanced distribution. In method item, the subject related to how to be more effective, and in environment item the study about physical environment rather than psychological environment assuming interaction and human-relation were a lot. Third, when tested the consistency between the object of study and method of approach, with a point of view that the tools used and method should be related to the substance of selected problem. I would point out problem that they approached positively a subject which had a interpretive propensity like interaction.;교사와 학생은 학교생활 중에서 가장 많은 시간을 수업에 할당하고 있다 교육에 관한 정확한 판단은 수업이 의미하는 바와 수업에서 어떤 일이 벌어지고 있느냐를 파악하는 것에서 시작된다고 볼 수 있다. 이제까지 수행되어온 초등교육 학위논문들의 분석은 초등교육의 경향뿐만 아니라 우리나라의 초등교육 현실을 파악할 수 있게 한다는 점에서 필요하다. 본 논문의 구체적인 연구문제는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 수업관련 학위논문에서 다루고 있는 수업구성요소의 분포는 어떠한가? 둘째, 수업구성요소를 이루고 있는 하위 주제분포는 어떠한가? 세째, 논문의 목적 및 접근방법은 어떠한가? 본 연구의 대상은 1980년대 초등교육 학위논문중 수업장면을 다루고 있는 논문 574편이며, 분석방법은 논문에서 중점적으로 다루고 있는 수업구성요소를 연대별, 요소별로 분석하였다. 본 연구의 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 수업구성요소를 인적 요소와 인적외 요소로 구분할 때, 인적 요소가 더 많은 비율을 차지하고 있다. 인적 요소인 아동, 교사, 아동-교사간 항목 중에서는 아동에 관한 연구가 가장 많으며, 인적외 요소인 내용, 방법, 장학, 평가, 환경, 기타항목 중에서는 방법, 내용항목 순으로 많은데, 이것은 어떤 방법으로 가르쳐야 하는가, 무엇을 수업의 내용으로 해야 하는가에 주목하고 있음을 보여준다 둘째, 수업구성요소들의 주제별 분포를 살펴볼 때, 먼저 아동항목은 지적 영역 중에서도 학업성취와 관련있는 주제에, 교사항목은 교사 개인적 측면보다는 직업인으로서의 교사 모습에 관한 주제에, 교사-아동간 항목에서는 교사는 지도성, 아동은 학습에 관련된 주제에 많은 연구가 수행되고 있다. 내용항목에서는 사회과, 도덕과에 관한 과목에 연구 편중현상을 보이고 있다. 방법항목에서는 '어떤 방법을 사용하면 보다 나은 효과를 얻을 수 있는가'와 관련된 주제에, 환경항목에서는 상호작용과 인간적 관계가 전제된 환경보다는 물리적 환경에 관한 연구가 많았다. 세째, 연구목적 및 연구문제와 연구 접근방법에 관해 상호작용을 주제로 삼은 논문을 대상으로 분석해본 결과, 상호작용이라는 해석적 성향을 띤 연구문제를 실증적 연구방법으로 접근하고 있어, 사용도구나 방법이 연구하고자 선택한 문제의 본질과 관련되어야 한다는 점에서 문제점으로 지적된다.
