中學校 人物學習에 대한 實態分析

Abstract

歷史敎育의 目標는 역사지식의 토대위에 역사의식을 심화시키는데 있고, 이를 위해서는 역사지도 방법면에서 새로운 改革이 要求된다. 歷史上에 등장하는 人物을 效果的으로 지도하여 역사교육의 목표를 달성하는 문제에 대해서는 지금까지 硏究가 활발하지 못하였고 현싯점에서 人物指導의 기초자료인 敎科書의 分析, 人物指導에 관한 實態調査硏究도 이루어지지 않았다. 이에 本硏究에서는 先行硏究들의 理論的 背景을 바탕으로하고 그 토대위에서 敎科書의 分析과 교사, 학생의 實態調査를 통해 현재 행해지는 人物學習의 실태와 문제점을 分析해 보려는데 目的을 두었다. 그 구체적인 내용은 첫째, 人物學習의 의의와 方法에 대한 理論的 考奈, 둘째, 현재 國史敎科書의 人物敍述에 대한 分析, 셋째, 현재 敎師와 學生의 人物學習 實態調査와 '77年의 先行調査와의 比較, 문제 점의 추출이다. 이와같은 內容을 살펴본 결과는 다음과 같다. 人物學習은 人間探究와 歷史探究의 양면에 기여할 수 있고 學習者의 바람직한 人間像의 形成에까지 영향을 줄 수 있는 效果的인 歷史學習 方法이고 中學生時期는 人物學習 實施의 適期라고 알려지고 있다. 따라서 敎師의 노력에 의해 적절히 실시된다면 歷史敎育이 目的하는 바의 성과를 얻을 수 있을 것이다. 그러나 基礎資料인 현행 國史 敎科書를 分析해본 결과 人物의 서술정도와 그 내용에 있어서 상당한 보완이 필요했고, 현재 敎師와 學生의 人物學習 實態를 조사한 결과에서도 중요성에 대한 인식의 감소와 함께 잘 시행되지 않고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 人物學習이 중요함에도 불구하고 현장에서 잘 實施되지 않고, 그 중요성에 대한 認談이 낮아지고 있는 이유는 가중되어가는 入試의 負擔, 資料의 不足, 다양한 수업방식의 개발이 뒤따르지 못한점등의 이유때문인 것으로 보인다. 그러나 무엇보다도 중요한 문제는 歷史敎育의 올바른 方向을 제시하여 주어야할 基本資料인 敎料書가 그 機能을 제대로 발휘하지 못하고 있으며 敎師들은 入試準備에만 관심이 쏠려있기 때문이라고 생각한다. 그러므로 人物學習을 통한 歷史敎育이 效果的으로 이루어져 韻史敎育의 目的을 달성하기 위해서는 歷史敎科書의 人物選定과 서술내용이 적절하게 改善, 補完되어야 하며, 10年前에 비하여 매우 後退한 中學生의 人物에 대한 關心度를 높이는 歷史敎育이 되어야 할 것이다.;The purpose of history education lies in deepening historical consciousness based on historical knowledge, for which some reformation is required in the methods of history teaching. There has not been active study to date in which historic figures are effectively presented and the aims of history education are achieved. Nor have there been any analysis of textbooks that are basic materials at persent in teaching some figures and any study of the actual state of teaching historic figures. Thus this study, on the basis of theoretical backgrounds of previous ones, focuses on analysing the actual state and some problems of current biographical study through analysis of textbooks and the present conditions of leachers and pupils. Specifically, the purpose presents. First, a theoretical research on the intention and methods of biographical study. Second, an analysis of describing historic figures in current textbooks. Third, a comparative analysis of biographical study in school between the present and 1977, and abstraction of some problems from it. The results of this study are as follows. Biographical study can contribute to both human research and historical research. Also it is an effective method of history learning by which learners can form a desirable human image. And it is known that middle-school hood is the right time for biographical study. So, if teachers with effort carry it out properly, it will be possible to achieve what is aimed in history education. But the analysis of current Korean History textbooks, basic materials, showed that a considerable supplement in describing a certain figure was needed. And the survey of present attitude of teachers and pupils toward biographical study indicated that its importance was less recognized than past and then was not being actively carried out. The reason why biographical study is not active on the scene and is not well recognized in spite of its importance is that the burden of entrance examination is getting heavier and that there are very few materials and methods of teaching. But first of all, the serious problems can be that textbooks which, as basic materials, should present the right directions of history education do not function well and that leachers are interested only in preparing for entrance examination. Therefore, there should be proper improvement and enrichment is selecting and describing figures in textbooks so that we may achieve the aims of history education by executing biographical study effectively. And history education should be able to raise much lower interest level in historic figures of middle school pupils than that of ten years ago.
