친환경적 교육환경 구축을 위한 유치원 색채환경디자인에 관한 연구

Abstract

근대 문명의 세계관은 객관성 또는 합리주의라는 명분으로 이성을 절대화하고 세계와 자연을 대상화하였으며 규칙성과 전체주의적 관리에 관심을 집중하게 되었다. 결국 18세기 후반이래 서구사회에서 급속히 발전한 산업화의 역사는 이원론적이고 기계론적 사유체제에 따라 자연을 정복의 대상으로 봄으로서 환경파괴 문제, 에너지 부족 등 전세계적 위기를 남게 되었다. 이에 대한 근원적 해결 방법으로 다원주의적인 포스트 모더니즘과 병행하여 유기체로서의 인간과 자연을 전체와 부분의 조화, 상호관계의 망으로 보는 생태학적 세계관이 대두되고 있다. 이러한 시대적 패러다임(paradigm)의 변화는 사회, 경제, 교육은 물론 디자인에도 영향을 미치게 된다. 21세기는 물질위주에서 창조적 지식과 정보를 필요로 하며, 문화중심적이고 지적 정보사회로서 물리적 힘이 아닌 창조적 정신과 감성이 요구된다. 즉, 정보화 사회에서 지식화 사회로, 수직화 사회에서 수평화 사회로, 제품 중심 시장에서 서비스 중심 시장으로, 생산자 중심에서 소비자 중심으로, 환경파괴에서 환경친화의 시대로 변화하고 있다. 이에 따라 2000년부터 시행 중인 제6차 유치원 교육과정과 제7차 초·중등교육과정은 학습자 중심의 교육을 지향하고 있으며 21세기에 적합한 창의적인 인재를 육성하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 기존의 '주어지는' 수동적 교육에서 벗어나 '만들어 가는' 창조적이고 능동적인 교육으로의 전환과 취학 전 아동의 교육의 중요성을 강조하면서 공교육 체제를 확립하려는 움직임은 필연적으로 유치원 교육환경의 변화를 요구하게된다. 특히, 새로운 유치원 교육과정은 사회와 환경과의 지속적인 관계를 통하여 아동의 창의성과 감성을 자극하고 통합적인 인격을 형성할 수 있도록 유도하고 있다. 본 논문은 이러한 사회와 교육의 변화에 적합한 환경을 구축하기 위한 요소로서 색채의 중요성을 인식하고 색채의 교육적 활용에 대해 연구하여 새로운 패러다임의 교육이 성공적으로 이루어질 수 있도록 교육환경을 디자인하였다. 제 1장에서는 문제제기와 더불어 연구의 목적을 밝히고 연구대상 및 범위를 설정하였으며 연구의 진행과정과 디자인 방법을 체계화하였다. 제 2장에서는 문헌과 자료를 고찰함으로써 본 연구를 위한 기본 자료를 수집하고 이를 통하여 친환경적 교육환경의 필요성과 이러한 철학에 입각한 교육목표가 교육현장에서 효과적으로 이루어지기 위해서 유치원 교육환경이 변화해야 하는 필요성과 아동의 물리적·심리적 환경 조절 요소로서 색채의 특성과 아동의 색채심리에 관하여 살펴봄으로써 유치원 교육환경에서 색채의 역할과 유치원 색채환경 계획의 필요성을 제시하였다. 제 3장에서는 지금까지 이루어져 왔던 유치원 교육환경의 실체를 파악하기 위해 문헌조사와 외국의 색채기준 사례를 바탕으로 색채환경 분석기준을 연구하고, 이를 바탕으로 현 유치원 색채환경 현황을 분석하고 문제점을 진단하였다. 제 4장에서는 조사된 기존의 문헌 및 자료와 현황 분석 결과 도출된 문제점을 기초로 하여 종합, 구체화시킴으로써 친환경적 교육환경에 적합한 색채환경의 개념적 틀을 정립하고 디자인과정을 체계화 시켜나갔다. 제 5장에서는 이러한 디자인 과정을 통해 얻은 결과를 토대로 친환경적 교육에 적합한 유치원 색채환경의 모델을 제시하였다. 제 6장에서는 유치원 환경 개선을 위한 디자인 과정을 통해 얻어진 결론과 이 연구의 의의를 정리하였다. 연구자는 위의 과정을 통해 유치원의 환경을 유치원의 구성원, 자연환경, 유치원 시설, 사회성 등의 구성요소가 상호작용하고 있는 하나의 시스템(system)이라는 사고의 틀로 이해함으로서 환경과 인간을 유기체적으로 파악하고, 포괄적이고 전체적인 관점에서 교육환경의 문제를 해결하기 위한 색채의 역할을 연구하였다. 본 연구를 통해 새로운 패러다임의 유치원 교육을 성공적으로 교단에 정착시키고, 더 나아가서는 사회의 구성원이 될 유치원생들의 창의적이고 전인적인 인간형성에 기여할 수 있도록 친환경적 유치원 색채계획을 제시하고자 한다.;The world view of modern civilization rationalized the reason to become unconditional by the name of objectivity or rationalism, objectified the world and nature and focused its attention on regularity and totalitarian control. After all, according to dualistic and mechanical thinking system, the rapid Industrial development of the West during the late 18th century had resulted worldwide crisis, such as destruction of the environment and energy shortage. Approaching to solve this problem from its origin, in plural Post Modernism, the Biological world view that considers the mutual relationship and the partial and total harmony between human and environment as an organic body is rising This kind of paradigm affects society, economy and education and certainly the design. The 21st century, for being a culture focused and intelligent information system society, creative knowledge, information and also creative spirits and emotions are needed instead of physical force. Thus, the time Is changing from a information society to a intellectual society, a vertical society to a horizontal society, a product based market to a service based market, a producer based market to a consumer based market and environment destruction to environment protection. Accordingly, beginning of the year 2000, the sixth curriculum for kindergarten and the seventh curriculum for elementary and middle school, which are soon to be implemented aim at the learner based education and intend to raise talented people who possess a level of creativity that is adequate for the 21st century. Emphasizing the transition from the existing given education to creating education and the importance of education of pre-school children, the movement of establishing public education requires the change in educational environment of kindergartens. Especially, the new curriculum for kindergarten induces stimulation of children's creativity and emotional senses to form integrated personal characters through continuous relationship with society and environment This dissertation recognized the importance of color as an element of establishing the appropriate environment for change of society and education, researched the educational application of color and designed educational environment to make the education of new paradigm successful In chapter 1, the purpose of this study is identified, problems are presented, the subject and the scope of this study are established and the research process and design methods are systemized In chapter 2, the basic data for this study are collected by examining literature and related materials, the role of color in educational environment and the necessity of planning of color environment for kindergarten are suggested by examining the necessity of environment-friendly educational environment, and the reason that educational environment of kindergarten should change to make this goal work effectively and the characteristics of color as an element of children's physical and psychological environment control Is stated. In order to understand the educational environments up to the present date, In chapter 3, the standards of color environment are studied based on the literature review and examples of other countries' color standards, the present condition of color environment of kindergarten is analyzed and problems are diagnosed. In chapter 4, the conceptual frame of color environment is established and the design process is systemized, which is appropriate for friendly-environment educational environment by generalizing and specifying the issues made by the result of analyzing the present conditions and the existing literature and data. In chapter 5, a model of kindergarten color environment is proposed, which Is appropriate for environment-friendly education on the basis of this study's design process results. In chapter 6, the result of the design process for the improvement of kindergarten environment and the meaning of this study were summarized. Through the process of this study, this researcher has worked on the role of color to solve the problem of educational environment in the comprehensive and general point of view by understanding kindergarten environment as one system where members of kindergarten, natural environment, kindergarten facilities and sociability mutually Interacts with one another. Through this research, I would like to suggest plans for friendly-environment kindergarten color to contribute to the successful implementation of the new paradigm, and further to the formation of creative children who would grow up to become productive members of the society.
