학교건물 환경색채디자인에 관한 연구

Abstract

Environment color is understood on the basis of relation between human and environment around him and directly connected with his life and safety. It is a factor that keeps artistic value and, from social and cultural point of view, is defined as a part of environment Issues. It is true that human, living among vast color information, is indifferent to its value. But as color plays a role as environment information and has an effect on human's physiology and mentality, more emphasis is added to its significance. And school environment has an effect on a student's thought, behavior and life, conditioning the meaning and contents of his life. Therefore a school should be more human education - centered than any other environment. Of all the stages of human development, adolescence is when a young man experiences the rapidest physical development. He spends most of time in school establishing the subjectivity of his self and preparing for the future life. At this time he is influenced much by the environment around him and displays his ability under the influence. As his learning is performed mainly in the classroom, color environment has an effect on his thought, judgement and emotional response and also becomes an obstacle to them. Non-emotional colors have bad effect on a learner's blood-pressure, breath, and behavior, so they can't give him mantal stability. Present colors in most universities' classrooms are dark and somber, therefore, it is inevitable for a student to feel tired and bored unconsciously. At persent colors of classrooms in our country are chosen by the personal taste of owner, designer or person in charge of the school without any plan. Learning environment without consideration of a learner's taste is not the best educational environment. The aim of this thesis is to introduce direction for a desirable 'classroom color by searching the images in universities' classrooms and analyzing and evaluating them with semantic differential method. And I reach conclusion with expertise of color design which can achieve efficient learning and phychological and emotional satisfaction of a learner.;환경 색채는 인간과 환경의 관계를 바탕으로 이해되며, 인간의 생존과 안전에 영향을 미치고, 미적 가치를 지키는 데 필요한 요소로써 사회, 문화적 차원에서 보아 색채 사용과 관계있는 환경 문제의 한 부분으로 정의된다. 인간은 막대한 색채 정보 속에서 생활하고 있으면서도 그 가치의 중요성에 무관심한 것이 사실이다. 색채는 환경 정보로써 작용하여 인간의 생리, 심리, 사고에 영향을 미침으로 그 중요성이 더욱 강조된다. 아울러 학교 환경은 학습자의 의식, 행동, 생활에 영향을 미치며, 삶의 의미와 내용에 작용하는 여건 혹은 조건으로서의 의미를 지닌다. 따라서 학교는 그 어떤 환경보다도 인간 교육을 중심으로 하는 환경이 되어야 한다. 인간의 발달 과정 중 청년기는 신체적 발달이 매우 빠르고 감정이 풍부하여 자아 주체성을 형성해 가면서 일생을 준비하는 시기로써, 대부분의 시간을 학교에서 보내게 된다. 이 시기의 학습 활동은 주로 교실 환경 속에서 전개되는데 환경의 영향을 많이 받으므로 교실 환경에 따라 그 능력을 발휘하게 된다. 결국 학교 교실의 환경 색채는 총체적 학습 자극으로 학습자의 사고, 판단 작용과 감정상의 반응을 일으키기도 하고 제한하기도 한다. 비정서적 색채는 학습자의 혈압, 호흡, 행동 심리적으로 영향을 주어 안정감을 주지 못한다. 그러함에도 불구하고 현 대학교 교실의 색채는 어둡고 답답하여 학습나들이 무의식적으로 피로, 권태로움을 느낄 수밖에 없는 실정이다. 현재 우리나라의 교실내 도색은 건물주와 설계자 또는 학교 책임자의 취향이나 기호에 의해 특별한 계획 없이 선정되어 진다. 이러한 학습자의 기호를 고려하지 않은 학습 환경은 최선의 교육 환경이라 할 수 없다. 따라서 본 연구에 대한 예비적 고찰로, 색이 인간에게 미치는 심리적 영향을 살펴보고, 효율적인 학습 능률의 수행과 학습자들의 심리적, 정서적 만족을 성취 가능하게 하는 적합한 교실 색채 디자인을 위한 색채 계획을 제시하였다. 본 연구에서는 인간, 환경이라는 틀 아래에서 교실 환경 색채를 다룸으로써 긍정적인 환경적, 행위적 변화를 예측하고, 인간 행동과 사고, 심리에 중대한 영향을 미치는 환경 색채의 조절, 즉 쾌적하고 안정감 있는 교실 환경의 환경적 정보 조절을 통하여 학생들에게 심리적 만족을 얻는 데 도움이 될 것을 기대해 본다. 또한 현재의 대학교 교실내 배색의 이미지를 조사하여, 의미미분법(Semantic Differential Method)에 의하여 분석 평가하고, 그 결과에 따라 바람직한 교실내 배색을 위한 방향을 제시하는 데 목적을 두었다. 방법으로는 첫째, 대학교 건물 교실내의 색채 이미지에 대하여 교실에서 수업을 받는 남녀 대학생을 대상으로 설문 조사한다. 둘째, 이미지를 의미미분법에 의해 분석 평가한 후, 결과의 상태에 따라 교실내 배색에 적합한 색채 계열을 선정한다. 셋째, 앞으로의 교실 환경 디자인의 방향과 연구 과제를 제시하면서 결론을 맺는다.
