Sustainability in Higher Education

Abstract

본 연구는 고등 교육 기관(HEI) 내 지속 가능성의 요구에 대응하여 교육 공간 내 사회 생태학, 회복력 및 번영 사이의 상호 작용에 초점을 맞춰 지속 가능한 실천 사례에 대하여 다각적인 방안을 탐구한다. 고등 교육 기관에서의 지속 가능한 운영은 학술적 기반 뿐만 아니라 지속 가능한 실천 사례를 제시하여 사회의 지속 가능성을 촉진한다. 본 연구는 Triple-bottom-line(TBL)을 바탕으로 고등 교육 기관 내 공간에서 부분적으로 적용된 지속 가능한 프레임워크에서의 선도적인 지속 가능성 및 환경 방안을 중점적으로 살펴보았다. 또한, 연구는 선행 연구 및 실제 사례 분석을 통해 고등 교육 기관에서의 지속 가능한 실천 방안을 모색하였다. 마지막으로 지속 가능성을 고등 교육 기관 운영의 틀에 적용함으로써, 환경적 의식을 함양하고 개혁적인 변화를 추진할 수 있을 것 이다. 본 연구는 지속 가능성 관련 의제를 발전시키고 개선하고자 하는 관련 학문 연구자들에게 통찰력과 적용 가능한 실천 방안을 제공하는 데에 의의를 가진다.;In response to the imperative of sustainability within higher education institutions (HEIs), this research explores the multifaceted setting of sustainable practices, focusing on the interplay between socio-ecological, resilience and prosperity within educational spaces. Higher education institutions are crucial factors in promoting sustainability, not only through academic preparation but also by exemplifying sustainable practices. The study centres on an analytical approach that examines sustainability and environmental initiatives within sustainability frameworks implemented in HEIs, particularly in organizational spaces, with a focus on a method basis of the triple bottom line. Through empirical analysis and case studies, it identifies key findings related to higher educational sustainability practices. By integrating sustainability into the fabric of higher education, institutions can foster environmental consciousness and drive transformative change. This research contributes insights and practical practices for stakeholders seeking to advance and improve sustainability agendas within academic communities.
