중국 온라인 팬덤 활동 ‘역소’ 문화

Abstract

2018년경 중국 인터넷에는 '젠더 역전'을 오락으로 삼는 팬덤이 생겼다. 그들은 남성 아이돌을 여성, 여성 아이돌을 남성으로 여기고 개인 소셜 미디어를 통해 이러한 생각과 감정을 표출한다. 아이돌 자신의 생물하적 성별과 반대되는 호칭과 형용사를 사용해 사랑과 애정을 표현하면서 관계와 행동에서 전통적인 성역할과는 반대되는 역할을 하게 한다. 이러한 문화현상은 '역소문화'로 개념화되었는데, 여기서 '역소'는 성 정체성을 역전시키는 행위를 가리키는다. 역소문화의 근원은 역사와 사회의 다방면에 걸친 요인과 미디어 기술발전의 영향을 포함하여 복잡하고 다양하다. 역소문화의 발전은 많은 논란을받았으며 일부 사람들은 이러한 행동이 남성 비하와 여성에 대한 고정관념을 악화시킬 수 있다고 주장한다. 하지만 역소문화가 문화오락으로 확장되면서 엔터테인먼트 회사와 연예인들도 역소팬의 욕구를 충족시키기 시작했다. 최근 몇 년 동안 유행하고 있는 문화 현상으로 현재 역소문화에 대한 학술 연구는 여전히 미흡하다. 본 연구는 20대 여성을 주요 연구 대상으로 하여 오랜 기간 관찰과 심층 인터뷰를 통해 역소문화의 존재 형태, 맥락, 동기, 그리고 현실에 미치는 영향에 대해 탐구할 것이다.;Around 2018, a fandom emerged on the Chinese internet that uses "gender reversal" as a form of entertainment. They identify male idols as female and female idols as male, and express these thoughts and feelings through personal social media. They express their love and affection by using titles and adjectives that are opposite to the idol's biological sex, forcing them to play the opposite of traditional gender roles in their relationships and behaviour. This cultural phenomenon has been conceptualised as "reverse gender culture", where "reverse" refers to the act of reversing gender identity. The roots of reverse microcultures are complex and diverse, including multifaceted factors in history and society, as well as the impact of advances in media technology. The development of reverse culture has been highly controversial, with some arguing that this behaviour can exacerbate the degradation of men and stereotypes of women. However, as reverse culture has expanded into cultural entertainment, entertainment companies and celebrities have begun to cater to the needs of reverse fans. As a cultural phenomenon that has become popular in recent years, academic research on reverse microcultures is still scarce. This study will explore the existence, context, motivation, and real-life impact of reverse microculture through long-term observation and in-depth interviews with women in their 20s.
