비판적 문식성 함양을 위한 학문 목적 한국어 읽기·쓰기 통합 교육 방안 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 학문 목적 한국어 학습자의 비판적 문식성 함양을 위한 읽기·쓰기 통합 교육 방안을 제안하여 학문 목적 학습자들이 대학 수학을 성공적으로 하고 나아가 인류 발전에 공헌할 수 있는 역량을 도야하는 데 목적이 있다. 정부의 외국인 유학생 정책과 한류 등의 영향으로 국내 대학의 학문 목적 학습자의 수가 급격하게 늘어나고 있으나 그간의 한국어 교육이 일상생활 중심의 의사소통 중심으로 진행되어 학문 목적 학습자의 대학 수학에 필요한 실질적 한국어 능력이 부족한 현실로 학문 목적 한국어 교육의 내실화가 요구되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 학문 목적 학습자에게 요구되는 역량 중 비판적 문식성이 가장 필요하다고 판단하고 비판적 문식성 함양을 위한 학습 도구로 읽기·쓰기 통합 교수-학습 방법을 선택하고 연구하였다. 이를 위하여 문식성의 개념과 종류를 시대에 따라 세분화하여 비판적 문식성의 이론적 배경과 교육적 의의를 확인하였고 비판적 문식성 교육의 효율적 적용을 위해 비판적 문식성의 원칙과 교육 모델을 선정하고 상세 내용을 체계화하였다. 비판적 문식성의 실현을 위한 구체적인 방법으로는 비판적 담화 분석과 고급 읽기 기술을 선택하였고 이를 실제 수업에 적용할 수 있는 방법을 제시하였다. 또한 읽기·쓰기 통합의 방법과 교육적 효용을 고찰하고 고급 단계 읽기 전략과 기술을 비판적 문식성 활동에 적용하여 읽기·쓰기 활동의 효율을 높이고자 했다. 학문 목적 학습자에게 가장 적합한 교수접근 방법으로 내용 중심 접근법의 주제 중심 교수를 선정하고 6T 접근에 따라 교수-학습의 요소를 선정하였다. 이를 실제 한국어 교육 현장에 적용할 수 있는 교육 방안을 제안하기 위하여 대학 부설 언어교육기관에서 출간한 학문 목적 한국어 교재를 분석하고 교육 주제를 범주화하였다. 수업에 적용할 텍스트로 신문을 선정하고 교육적 효과를 고찰한 후 실제 수업 구성에 적용하였다. 본 연구는 비판적 문식성 교육을 실제 교육 현장에 적용하기 위해 비판적 문식성 교육의 구성을 구체화하고 명시적 교육 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 특히 실제 한국어 교육 현장에서 사용 중인 한국어 교재와의 연계 수업을 구성하고 연관된 교재와 활동을 구성하여 한국어 교육 현장에서 실현의 가능성을 높이고자 하였다.;This study proposes an integrated reading and writing educational plan for cultivating the critical literacy of academic Korean language learners so that they can succeed in college academics and develop their capabilities to contribute to humanity’s development. The number of academic Korean language learners is rapidly increasing due to the government’s foreign student policy and the influence of the Korean Wave. However, Korean language education has focused on communication in daily life and caused the lack of practical Korean fluency needed for academic learners to study in Korean college, which has led to the demand for internalizing Korean language education for academic purposes. Accordingly, this study determined that critical literacy was the most necessary competency required of academic Korean language learners and selected and investigated an integrated reading and writing education plan as a learning tool for cultivating critical literacy. To this end, the study divided the concepts and types of Korean literacy according to the times to verify the theoretical background and educational significance of critical literacy. To efficiently apply critical literacy instruction, the study selected the principles and educational models of critical literacy and systemized the details to deliver classes concretely and clearly. Next, critical discourse analysis was chosen as a method to realize critical literacy and be applied to actual classes. In addition, the study examined the method and utility of integrated reading-writing education and applied the educational stage and advanced reading strategies and skills for critical literacy activities. As the teaching approach most suitable for academic Korean learners, the study selected the Theme-Based Instruction of Content-Based Instruction and educational elements based on 6T approach. To present educational plans applicable to Korean language education field, this study analyzed academic Korean language textbooks published by university-affiliated language institutions and categorized educational topics. Lastly, the study chose a newspaper as the text for the class, considered the educational effect, and applied this to the actual class composition. This study aimed to specify critical literacy and offer the educational plan for applying critical literacy education to actual educational sites. Especially, it is significant that it provided detailed materials and assignments for the class materials linked with Korean textbooks used in actual Korean language education sites and raised their realizability.
