경영학 전공 유학생을 위한 병존 어휘 수업의 교수요목 설계

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 국내에 있는 대학에서 경영학을 전공하고 있는 유학생을 대상으로 경영학과의 전공 기초과목 중의 하나인 ‘회계 원리’ 과목의 학업을 돕기 위하여 요구 분석을 진행하고 이것을 바탕으로 병존 교수 모형 기반 회계 원리 한국어 어휘 수업의 교수요목을 설계하는 것이다. 최근까지의 여러 연구를 통해 유학생의 전공 학업이 쉽지 않으며 이러한 문제를 해결할 제도적 장치가 필요함은 이미 알고 있는 사실이다. 더불어 이를 해결할 여러 방안에 관한 연구도 계속해서 나오고 있지만, 현장에서는 아직도 부족한 것이 현실이며 실제로 적용할 수 있는 더 많은 연구가 필요할 것이다. 한국에서 대학에 진학하는 유학생이 많아짐에 따라 다양한 전공 분야에서 공부하는 유학생을 만날 수 있으며, 이 중에서도 특히 경영학 전공 유학생은 압도적으로 많은 상황이다. 물론 학문 목적 한국어 분야에서 경영학 전공을 다루는 연구가 많은 것은 사실이지만, 경영학 전공의 주요 분야인 회계학과 관련한 학문 목적 한국어 연구는 거의 없다고 볼 수 있다. 회계학의 기초과목인 회계 원리는 많은 계정 과목이 제시되어 경영학 전공 유학생이 특히 어려워하는 과목이며 경영학 전공 유학생이 대학 입학 후 필수적으로 이수해야 하는 과목이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 회계 원리 과목에 대하여 유학생이 실제로 느끼고 있는 현장에서의 상황과 학문적 요구를 파악하고 유학생이 느끼는 회계 원리 과목의 학습 목표별 어려움과 주제별 어려움에 대한 요구 조사를 진행하였다. 이러한 조사의 결과를 병존 교수 모형 기반 한국어 어휘 수업의 교수요목 설계에 반영하였다. 먼저 Ⅰ장에서는 현재 대학에 진학하는 유학생들의 현황을 알아보고 관련된 여러 자료를 살펴보며 본 연구의 목적과 필요성을 밝혔다. 전공 학업에 있어서 도움이 필요한 유학생의 상황에도 불구하고 이를 도울 연구나 제도가 아직도 많이 부족함을 알 수 있었다. Ⅱ장에서는 연구의 기본이 되는 이론적 배경과 선행 연구를 검토하고 경영학과에서의 회계학 교육과정 현황을 알아보았다. 크게 학문 목적 한국어에서부터 범위를 좁혀가며 이론적 배경과 선행 연구를 살펴보았는데, 내용 중심 교수법에서 병존 교수 모형을 적용하는 것이 회계 원리 한국어 수업에 효과적임을 파악할 수 있었다. 또한 교수요목 설계를 위한 정보 수집 방법으로 다수의 유학생에게 진행할 수 있는 설문조사와 면접이 적합하고 많이 이용되고 있음을 알 수 있었다. Ⅲ장에서는 Ⅱ장의 내용을 바탕으로 진행한 연구의 방법을 자세하게 밝혔다. 한국의 대학에서 경영학을 전공하는 유학생을 대상으로 온라인으로 설문조사를 진행하였으며, 응답자의 기본 정보와 한국어 학습 경험, 경영학 전공과 회계학 수업 관련 질문, 그리고 회계 원리 과목의 학습 목표별 어려움과 주제별 어려움을 나누어 조사하였다. 이렇게 조사한 내용은 SPSS 27 통계 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였고, 여기서 좀 더 알고 싶거나 부족한 부분은 성실히 대답한 유학생의 면접을 진행하여 보충하였는데, 설문조사에서 나타나지 않은 유학생의 어려움도 파악할 수 있었다. Ⅳ장에서는 요구 조사의 결과를 분석하고 이 내용을 바탕으로 병존 교수 모형을 기반으로 한 회계 원리 한국어 어휘 수업의 구성을 위한 교수요목을 설계하였다. 유학생은 한국어로 진행하는 전공 수업에 있어서 많은 어려움을 느끼고 있었으며 이를 돕기 위한 한국어 어휘 수업이 필요하다는 점도 파악하였다. 이러한 결과에 따라 교수요목을 설계하기 위해서 먼저 수업의 대상, 수업의 목표, 수업의 내용 범주, 그리고 실제 대학에서 실행할 수 있는 교육과정 구성을 정하여 교수요목 설계의 방향을 잡았다. 또한 이에 알맞게 교육 내용을 구체적으로 선정하여 수업을 구성하고 회계 원리의 어휘 교육 방안도 제안해 보았다. 이상의 내용을 정리하여 최종적으로 병존 교수 모형 기반 회계 원리 한국어 어휘 수업의 교수요목을 설계하였다. 마지막으로 Ⅴ장에서는 연구의 결과를 요약하고 연구의 한계점을 말하였다. 또한 회계학 분야의 한국어 연구가 계속되기를 바라며, 본 연구를 바탕으로 하여 실제적인 실험 연구가 이루어지기를 제언하였다. 이상의 연구 과정을 통하여 경영학을 전공하는 유학생들이 회계 원리를 공부하는 현장의 상황과 어려움을 알아볼 수 있었으며 이에 대한 방안으로 병존 교수 모형을 기반으로 한 회계 원리 과목의 한국어 어휘 수업의 교수요목을 설계하였다. 본 연구를 통해 경영학을 전공하는 유학생들이 회계 원리를 비롯한 회계학 수업을 수강하고 공부하는 데 도움이 되기를 기대한다.;The purpose of the study is to analyze the needs of international students majoring in business administration at universities in Korea to propose a Korean vocabulary class based on the adjunct model of Accounting Principles, and based on this, the syllabus is designed. Through various studies up to the present, it is already known that international students’ major studies are not easy, and that institutional arrangements are needed to solve these problems. In addition, research on various ways to solve these problems continues, but the reality is that it is still lacking in the field, and more research that can be applied in practice is needed. As the number of international students entering Korean universities increases, we can meet international students studying in various fields of study. In particular, the number of international students majoring in business administration is overwhelming. Of course, it is true that there are many studies on Korean language for academic purposes related to business administration majors, but it can be seen that there are very few studies on Korean language studies related to accounting, which is an important part of business administration majors. Accounting Principles are particularly difficult for international students majoring in business administration. This is not only because students are new to accounting, but also they learn a lot of vocabulary for accounting titles. However, this is a basic course in accounting that students must complete. Therefore, in this study, the actual situation and academic needs of international students in the accounting principles course were identified, and difficulties by learning objectives and difficulties by topic were investigated. The results of this study were reflected in the syllabus design of the Korean vocabulary class in the accounting principles subject based on the adjunct model. First, in Chapter I, the current status of international students who are currently enrolled in university was investigated, and various data related to this study were examined to reveal the purpose and necessity of the study. Despite the situation of international students who need help in their major studies, it can be seen that there are still not many studies or systems to help them. In Chapter Ⅱ, the theoretical background and previous studies that are the basis of this study were reviewed, and the current status of the accounting education course in the Department of Business Administration was investigated. The theoretical background and previous studies were examined in a way that narrowed the scope starting with Korean language for academic purposes, and it was found that applying the adjunct model in the Content-Based Instruction is effective in the accounting principles Korean vocabulary class. In addition, it was found that surveys and interviews that can be conducted with a large number of international students are suitable and widely used as information collection methods for syllabus design. In Chapter Ⅲ, the method of the research conducted based on the contents of Chapter Ⅱ was explained in detail. An online survey was conducted for international students majoring in business administration at Korean universities, and the basic information of the respondents, their Korean learning experiences, questions related to the business administration major and accounting classes, and the difficulties of each learning objective and topic in the accounting principle course were investigated. The contents of this survey were analyzed using the SPSS statistics program, and the parts that were lacking or wanted to know more were supplemented by conducting interviewed with international students who answered faithfully, and in this process, it was possible to grasp the difficulties of international students that were not in the survey. In Chapter IV, the results of the demand survey were analyzed, and based on this content, a syllabus was designed for the composition of Korean vocabulary classes in accounting principles subject based on the adjunct model. It was also understood that international students were experiencing many difficulties in their major classes conducted in Korean, and that they needed Korean vocabulary classes to help them. In order to design the syllabus according to these results, the direction of the syllabus design was set by first determining the subject of the class, the class objective, the class content category, and the composition of the curriculum that can be implemented at the university. In addition, the contents of the education were specifically selected to suit this, and the class was organized, and a method of teaching the vocabulary of accounting principles was also suggested. Finally, by summarizing the above, the syllabus of the Korean vocabulary class in accounting principles based on the adjunct model was designed. Lastly, in Chapter V, the results of the study were summarized and the limitations of the study were discussed. In addition, I hope that Korean language research in the field of accounting will continue, and it is suggested that practical experimental research be conducted based on this study. Through the above research process, it was possible to understand the situation and difficulties of international students majoring in business administration studying accounting principles, and as a solution to this, a syllabus was designed for the Korean vocabulary class in the accounting principle subject based on the adjunct model. It is hoped that this study will help international students majoring in business administration to take and study accounting classes including accounting principles.
