유아기 자녀를 둔 아버지의 일상스트레스가 양육참여도에 미치는 영향

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 아버지의 일상스트레스와 양육참여와의 관계에서 배우자지지와 부부친밀감의 순차매개효과를 밝히는 데 있다. 이를 위해 만 3세 ~ 만 6세의 미취학 자녀를 둔 아버지를 대상으로 자기보고식 온라인 설문을 시행하여 총 158명의 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 26.0과 SPSS Process Macro v3.5를 이용하여 분석하였다. 우선 변인들에 대한 기술통계와 상관분석을 실시하였다, 이후 아버지의 일상스트레스가 양육참여도와의 관계에서 각 배우자지지 하위요소별로 부부친밀감과 순차매개하는 지 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 상관분석을 실시한 결과 일상스트레스는 양육참여도, 배우자지지 부부친밀감과 모두 유의미한 부적 상관을 보였다. 양육참여도와 배우자지지, 부부친밀감은 유의미한 정적 상관을 보였다. 배우자지지와 부부친밀감도 서로 유의미한 정적 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 아버지의 일상스트레스와 양육참여도의 관계에서 배우자지지의 각 하위요소들이 부부친밀감을 순차매개하는 지 분석한 결과 ‘자녀양육 및 교육을 공유함’, ‘가정 일의 분담’에 대한 지지는 부부친밀감을 통하여 순차매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 아버지의 일상스트레스와 양육참여도와의 관계에서 배우자지지의 각 하위요소들과 부부친밀감의 매개효과를 확인하기 위해 부트스트래핑(Bootstraping) 검증을 실시한 결과, 배우자지지의 하위요소인‘나의 일에 대한 존중’,‘자녀양육 및 교육을 공유함’, ‘가정 일의 분담’, ‘어려움에 대한 지지’의 단순 매개효과가 유의한 것으로 나타났으며, 다른 변인이었던 부부친밀감도 단순 매개효과는 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 아버지의 일상스트레스가‘자녀양육 및 교육을 공유함’, ‘가정 일의 분담’과 부부친밀감을 거쳐서 양육참여도에 이르는 이중매개효과가 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과를 종합해봤을 때, 아버지의 일상스트레스와 양육참여와의 관계에서 배우자지지 중 ‘자녀양육 및 교육을 공유함’, ‘가정 일의 분담’은 부부친밀감을 향상시켜 양육참여도에 긍정적인 효과를 주었으며, 모든 매개변인은 양육참여도에 일상스트레스의 양육참여에 대한 부정적인 영향을 줄이고 양육참여를 높여주는 보호요인으로서 효과가 있었다. 본 연구는 아버지의 일상스트레스가 양육참여에 미치는 영향에서 부부가 조절할수 있는 변인인 배우자지지와 부부친밀감의 영향을 살펴보았다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 일상스트레스가 양육참여에 끼치는 부정적인 영향을 줄여주는 보호요인으로서 배우자지지와 부부친밀감이 효과가 있다는 점이 밝혀졌다. 또한 다른 하위 요소에 비해 심리정서적 의미가 적었던 ‘자녀양육 및 교육을 공유함’, ‘가정 일의 분담’에 대한 지지가 부부친밀감이라는 정서적 변인를 통해 양육참여에 긍정적인 영향을 끼친다는 점이 나타나, 대부분의 배우자지지가 양육참여에 끼치는 영향에 심리정서적인 의미가 있음이 밝혀졌다. 이는 아버지 양육참여를 위해서는 육아휴직과 같은 기업주도형 제도 뿐만 아니라, 부부가 함께 참여할 수 있는 심리교육적인 도움이 필요하다는 점을 시사한다.;The purpose of this study is to verify the sequential mediating effects of spousal support and marital intimacy on the relationship between daily hassles and child-rearing involvement of fathers with young children. For this purpose, an online survey was conducted in nationwide mom cafe, community daycare center with participants who have children from 3 to 6 years old, not attending school. Data of 158 fathers were used in the analysis except overlap data or one number checked data. The collected data were analyzed by using the SPSS 26.0 and the Process Macro v3.5. The specific analysis methods and results of this study are as follows: Firstly, pearsons`s correlation analysis was conducted to examine the relationship between daily hassles, parent involvement, four factors of spousal support such as ‘respects my work’, ‘shares nurturing and educating children’, ‘helps with household matters’ and ‘supports with difficulties’, and marital intimacy. As a result, daily hassles was negatively correlated with every other variables. Except daily hassles, every variables were positively correlated to each other. Secondly, every meditating factors such as ‘respects my work’, ‘shares nurturing and educating children’, ‘helps with household matters’, ‘supports with difficulties’and marital intimacy were simple mediated between daily hassles and parent involvements. Thirdly, an examination of the model with ‘shares nurturing and educating children’ and marital intimacy as sequential mediating factors between daily hassles and parent involvements was significant in every path except the direct path of daily hassles to parent involvement. Also an examination of the model with ‘helps with household matters’ and marital intimacy as mediating factors between daily hassles and parent involvements was significant in every path except the direct path of daily hassles to parent involvement. Model with ‘respects my work’ and marital intimacy as sequential mediating factors between daily hassles and parent involvements and model with ‘supports with difficulties’ and marital intimacy as sequential mediating factors between daily hassles and parent involvements were not significant. Two factors of spouse support such as ‘respects my work’ and ‘supports with difficulties’ mean trust in my own ability and sympathy of difficult, including a psychological-emotional support between married couple. But the other two factors such as ‘shares nurturing and educating children’ and ‘helps with household matters’ mean attitude or behavior about children, and instrumental support of household matters does not or less includes psychological and emotional support. However, in this study, the latter two factors and marital intimacy were sequentially mediated between daily hassles and parent involvements. It means that, in case of father, the latter two factors also affect psychologically or emotionally by mediating marital intimacy. This study expands the understanding of related variables by spousal support and marital intimacy between daily hassles and child-rearing involvement of fathers with young children. Every factors of spouse support and marital intimacy could protect the daily hassles effect by reducing parent involvements. And the effect of spousal support on marital intimacy has been found to have psychological and emotional significance. In order to help the father parent involvement, this study recommends to provide psychological help.
