연령에 따른 청소년 다문화수용성의 변화양상

Abstract

본 연구는 한국청소년정책연구원의 한국아동청소년패널 2010 중1패널 데이터에서 1차년도에서 6차년도까지의 데이터를 다층모형으로 분석해 중학교 2학년부터 고등학교 3학년까지 학년이 올라감에 따라 다문화수용성의 변화양상을 살펴보고, 이런 청소년의 다문화수용성의 연령 증가에 따른 변화를 설명하는 개인 수준과 지역 수준의 변인을 탐색하였다. 주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중학교 2학년에서 고등학교 3학년에 이르기까지 청소년의 다문화수용성은 조금씩 낮아졌다. 둘째, 청소년의 다문화수용성에 개인의 자아정체감, 공동체의식, 지역사회인식이 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 다문화수용성의 변화율에도 개인의 자아정체감 및 공동체의식과 지역사회인식이 영향을 미쳤고, 구체적으로는 자아정체감이 낮고 공동체의식과 지역사회인식이 높을수록 중학교 2학년에서 고등학교 3학년으로 학년이 올라갈 때 다문화수용성이 더 급격하게 감소했다. 넷째, 자아존중감은 다문화수용성에 직접 영향을 미치지는 않았으나 자아정체감, 공동체의식, 지역사회인식 모두에 영향을 미쳤고, 성별 또한 공동체의식과 지역사회인식에 영향을 미쳤다. 마지막으로, 개인 수준의 지역사회인식은 지역 수준의 지역사회인식의 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구자는 주요 연구결과를 바탕으로 청소년의 다문화수용성의 변화양상에 대해 설명하고, 청소년이 이후 성인기에 이르기까지 다문화수용성을 잘 발달시킬 방법을 소개하였다.;Analyzing data from the second wave to sixth wave of the middle school year 1 panels taken from the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey(KCYPS) by multilayer modeling, this study looked into how adolesences’ levels of multi-cultural acceptance change as the school year increases from middle school year 2 to high school year 3, and explored individual and local factors affecting the change of the multi-cultural acceptance through grades. The main results were as follows: Firstly, adolesences’ levels of multi-cultural acceptance descends as time passes by. Secondly, individual self-identity, sense of community, and local community awareness affect the level of multi-cultural acceptance of adolesences. Thirdly, individual self-identity, sense of community, and local community awareness also affects the rate of change of multi-cultural acceptance, specifically low self-identity with high sense of community and local community awareness makes the level of multi-cultural acceptance lowered more sharply. Foulthly, self-esteem doesn’t affect multi-cultural acceptance directly, but affect self-identity, sense of community, and local community awareness all, and gender affects sense of community, and local community awareness also. Lastly, individual local community awareness is affected by local community awareness of local level. In this research, the researcher explains how adolesences’ levels of multi-cultural acceptance change based on the main results, and introduce how to develop multi-cultural acceptance from adolescence to adulthood well.
