- Abstract
- The nanozyme concept appeals to numerous scientists with interest in cancer catalytic therapy based on an easy and economic preparation with highly catalytic and stable properties compared to a natural enzyme. The supramolecular nanozyme is an especially efficient and simple method, which has been successful in biomedical applications by changing the redox state and reactive oxygen species in a cancer environment. Representative examples of nanozymes and supramolecular nanozymes in cancer catalytic therapy with respect to construction and development are displayed in this review. Emphasis is also placed on the supramolecular nanozyme materials and the inherent structure of those containing nanoparticles, hydrogels, nanovesicles, and the catalytic mechanism and reaction. The supramolecular nanozyme, promising for its special properties of selectivity, high catalytic capability and stability, could reveal the mysterious properties of the enzyme itself, and the efficient inhibition of the signaling channel in cancer catalytic therapy. ©
