Abstract
본 연구는 한부모 결혼이주여성 가정 아동이 자기표현을 위한 미술치료를 통해 어떠한 경험을 하였으며, 그 경험의 의미는 무엇인지를 알아보는 데 그 목적이 있다. 아동 개인의 특수한 상황을 고려하여 질적 사례 연구 방법으로 개인 미술치료를 진행하였다. 본 연구의 참여자는 한부모 결혼이주여성 가정 아동으로 부모의 이혼 후 현재 결혼이주여성 어머니와 함께 사는 초등학교 1학년 남자 아동이다. 본 사례는 2019년 3월 10일부터 2019년 11월 17일까지 진행하였으며, 주 1회 60분씩 총 24회기의 미술치료를 진행하였다. 한부모 결혼이주여성 가정 아동의 자기표현을 위한 미술치료의 목표는 부정적 정서 해소, 자유로운 표현을 통한 성취감 형성, 긍정적 자기인식, 적절한 자기표현 향상이며 이를 바탕으로 미술치료 회기를 구성하였다. 자료 수집은 사전·사후 면담과 함께 참여자의 작품 관찰일지, 축어록, 어머니 와 관계자들의 면담을 통해 이루어졌다. 자료 분석은 반복적 비교분석법을 활용하였으며 연구 참여자가 미술치료 안에서 경험한 것과 그 경험의 의미를 탐색하고자 하였다. 자료를 수집하고 분석한 결과 본 연구의 본질적 주제는 다음과 같이 <그림으로 내 안에 공격적인 마음을 풀어내기 시작함>, <가족에 대한 복잡한 마음이 미술 활동 안에 고스란히 담김>, <미술로 나의 억눌린 감정을 해소함>, <나를 온전히 받아주는 치료사가 좋고 기다려짐>, <삶 속에서 긍정적으로 변화되어 가는 나>, <현실에서 이룰 수 없는 소망을 경험하고 희망을 품게 됨> 의 6개 상위 주제와 13개의 하위 주제로 도출되었다. 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 한부모 결혼이주여성 가정 아동의 자기표현을 위한 미술치료에서 경험한 것과 그 의미에 대한 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연구 참여자는 미술 활동을 통해 자신의 억눌린 감정들을 안전한 미술치료 공간 안에서 표출하므로 정서적 이완, 부정적 감정의 해소를 경험 하였다. 둘째, 연구 참여자는 자유로운 미술 표현을 통해 미술 세상과 소통하며 자신을 치유 할 수 있었다. 셋째, 연구 참여자는 미술 활동 안에서 치료사와의 신뢰와 친밀감을 바탕으로 긍정적인 상호작용 통해 타인에 대한 지지와 수용을 경험 할 수 있었다. 넷째, 참여자는 미술 활동 안에서 긍정적 자기 경험을 통해 자신의 내적 자원을 발견하고, 미래에 대한 희망을 경험하므로 자긍심을 가질 수 있었다. 본 연구는 한부모 결혼이주여성 가정 아동의 자기표현을 위한 미술치료를 통해 자신을 자유롭게 표현 할 수 있었으며, 내재해 있었던 부정적 감정들을 표출하여 해소의 감정을 느끼고 정서적 이완을 경험해 볼 수 있었다. 또한 미술치료 안에서 경험한 타인의 지지와 긍정적 자기인식은 적절한 자기표현을 위한 강점으로 작용하여 건강한 성장을 도울 수 있었다.;The purpose of this study is to examine what kind of experience the children of immigrant single-mother have through art therapy for self-expression and what the experience means to. Considering the special situation of a child, individual art therapy was conducted by a qualitative case study. The participant in this study is first-grade male child who currently live with immigrant mother after his parents’ divorce. This case was proceeded from March 10, 2019 to November 17, 2019, and twenty-four art therapy sessions were performed weekly for sixty minutes. The goal of art therapy for a child’s self-expression of immigrant single-mother is to relieve negative emotions, form a sense of achievement through free expression, get positive self-recognition, and improve proper self-expression, and based on that, the session of art therapy was organized. Data collection was done through pre and post interview, the works of observations journals, word-for-word records and interview with mother and others. Data analysis was performed by using constant comparative analysis methods to research what kind of experience participants get through art therapy process and to explore the meaning of the experience. As a result of collecting and analyzing the data, six parent topics and thirteen subtopics were derived. The six parent topics of art therapy experience for a child’s self-expression of immigrant single-mother are as follows: starting to solve the aggressive mind within me by drawing, embedding complex feelings about family in art activities, relieve my suppressed emotion with art, waiting good therapist who accepts the participant fully, me changing positively in my life, expecting and experiencing hope beyond reality. Based on the results of this study, the conclusions of experiences and the meaning through art therapy for the child’s self-expression of immigrant single-mother are as follows. First, the research participant experienced emotional relaxation and negative emotion resolution by expressing their suppressed emotions in a safe art therapy space through art activities. Second, the research participant was able to communicate with the art world and heal himself through free expression of art. Third, the research participant could experience support and acceptance of others through positive interaction based on trust and intimacy with the therapist in art activities. Fourth, the research participant could have self-esteem by discovering their internal resources through positive self-experience in art activities and experiencing hope for the future. This study has shown that a child of immigrant single-mother could express himself freely and relieve negative feelings and relax his emotion through art therapy for self-expression. In addition, the support from others and positive self-awareness experienced in art therapy acted as a strength for proper self-expression and helped grow the participant healthy.
