다문화 음악교육에 대한 인천지역 중학생의 인식 및 실태조사

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 인천지역의 중학교 음악교과에서 다뤄지는 다문화 음악수업 실태를 조사하여 그에 따른 효과와 문제점, 개선방안을 제시하고 중학생과 교사의 인식을 알아보는 것이다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 다음과 같은 연구문제를 설정하였다. 첫째, 다문화 음악교육에 대한 인천지역 중학생들의 인식은 어떠한가? 둘째, 인천지역 중학교의 다문화 음악교육 수업실태는 어떠한가? 셋째, 인천지역 중학생들이 생각하는 다문화 음악수업에 대한 효과는 어떠한가? 이를 위하여 2019년 1월부터 5월까지 약 5개월간 조사연구가 이루어졌으며 회수한 설문지와 질문지를 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 다문화 음악에 대해 전반적으로 학생들이 개념에 대한 이해와 관심을 가지고 있었고 다문화 배경을 가진 학생들이 증가하고 있음에 따라 다문화 교육의 필요성을 느끼고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 연구에 참여한 학교 중 다문화 교육을 적극적으로 실시하고 있는 학교가 다른 학교에 비해 높은 이해와 관심을 보였다. 둘째, 다문화 음악수업의 실태를 조사한 결과 주로 교과서에 나타난 세계 여러 나라의 민요를 감상수업과 동영상을 시청하는 학습이 이루어지고 있었고 창작활동에는 어려움을 느끼는 것으로 조사되었다. 셋째, 다문화 음악수업을 통해 나타날 수 있는 효과에 대하여 분석한 결과 문화를 이해하여 편견을 없애고 음악적 창의성을 높이는 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 연구에 참여한 세 학교에서 차이를 보이고 있었는데 다문화에 대한 개념적 이해와 관심도의 차이로 인해 나타나는 것으로 볼 수 있다. 본 연구는 다양한 문화에 대한 정확한 이해와 존중을 통해 차별 없는 교육 환경을 마련하고 교사들의 창의적인 교수방법을 설계하는 데 도움을 줄 수 있는 자료로 제공되길 바란다. ;The purpose of this study was to investigate the actual situation of multicultural music classes in middle school music course of Incheon area and to present the effects, problems, and remedies for them and to recognize the awareness of middle school students. In order to accomplish the purpose of this study, the following research problems were set up. First, what is the recognition of middle school students in the Incheon area about multicultural music education? Second, what is the status of multicultural music education classes at middle schools in Incheon? Third, what is the effects on multicultural music classes that middle school students in Incheon think? To this end, the survey was conducted for about five months from January to May 2019, and the results of the analysis of the questionnaire collected are as follows. First, it has been shown that students in general have an understanding and interest in multicultural music. Futhermore they feel the need for multicultural education as students from multicultural backgrounds are increasing. In particular, among the schools that participated in the study, those that actively provide multicultural education showed greater understanding and interest than others. Second, according to a survey on the status of cultural music classes, listening to and watching videos of folk(traditional) songs from various countries in the world were being conducted in textbook, however they found that they found difficulties on create activity. Third, An analysis of the effects of multicultural music classes has shown that understanding culture has the effect of eliminating prejudice and enhancing musical creativity. These results were different in the three schools involved in the study, which can be seen as a result of differences in conceptual understanding and interest in multiple cultures. We hope that this study will be provided with materials that can help create a nondiscriminatory educational environment and design creative teaching methods for teachers through accurate understanding and respect for various cultures.
