Abstract
The purpose of the study is inquiring 3 to 7 years old Chinese children’s understanding of happiness through interviews. The children were be asked to talking about their understanding of the happiness and the situations that they are feeling happy. Expecting the result of the research could both help people to have the better understanding of the Chinese children and promote the programs of happiness education in the near future. Research questions are as follows. 1. How do young children think about the meanings of happiness? 2. When do young children feel happy? The research was conducted for 128 children whose age from 3-year-old to 7-year-old at a kindergarten of Beijing in China. Data collection was done from Aug. 28th 2017 to Sept. 8th 2017. The sound recording and the interview notes for 128 children were created and then interview recoding was transcribed for the written materials after the interviews for the future researching. Research findings are as follow. Firstly, the most of children thought the happiness are kind of positive emotions such as rejoicing, delightful, fun, or cheerful; Some children thought happiness is love and be loved. Some children don’t know what is the meaning of happiness when they don’t understand the concept of happiness yet. Secondly, Children will feel happy when they stay with parents or travel together, they feel happy when they are playing. They feel happy when they eat yummy food. Children feel happy during the break time or free time. They feel happy when floating in interesting activities. Children feel happy when their dreams or wishes come true. They feel happy when they are in the kindergarten and play with friends. Children feel happy when they received presents from family, or kiss and hug with them. Children feel happy during the festival or special day. When their parents or teachers tell a story children feel happy. When they were praised children feel happy was well. We should respect the theory of children as the center if we want to understanding the inner world of children that require us to listen their voice from their perspective carefully. Through the study, expecting to the parents and educators could deal with children’s problems and confusions from children’s perspective instead of take it for granted from adult’s point of views. Expecting the educators and parents could to provide children a positive, healthy, safety and friendly growth environment, as well as expecting the study could provide a support for promotion of Chinese happiness education of children.;본 연구는 중국유치원의 만3~7세 유아들의 행복에 대한 인식을 유아와 일대일 면담을 통해 고찰했다.이를 통해 중국 유아들에 대한 이해를 증진하고 미래의 중국유아들에게 적합한 행복교육 프로그램을 개발하는 기초자료를 제공하는데 의의가 았다. 본 연구의 연구문제는 아와 같다. 1. 유아들이 생각하는 행복의 의미는 무엇인가? 2. 유아들은 언제 행복하다고 느끼는가? 연구과정에서 유아들과의 대하는 녹음했고 전사본을 만들어 분석했다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유아들은 행복은 즐거움, 기쁨, 신남 등과 같은 긍정적인 감정으로 인식하고 있었다. 또한 유아들은 타인을 사랑하고 사랑을 받는 것이 행복이라고 생각했다. 둘째, 유아들은 가족과 함께 있거나 여행 갈 때, 놀 때, 맛있는 음식을 먹을 때, 휴식시간이나 자유시간을 가질 때, 자신이 흥미있는 일이나 활동할 때, 소원이 이루어졌을 때, 유치원에 있을 때, 친구들과 같이 놀 때, 나한테 물건 사줄 때, 가족들과 안거나 뽀뽀할 때, 특별한 날 있을 때, 이야기를 들을 때, 칭찬받을 때에 행복하다고 했다. 유아의 내면세계를 이해하는 것은 바로 유아를 중심으로 그들의 입장에서 마음의 소리를 들어보는 것이다. 번 연구는 부모들과 교사들로 하여금 향후의 일상생활과 교육과정에서 더욱 많은 배려와 존중을 기반으로 유아들에게 적극적이고 건강하고 안전하며 따뜻한 생활과 성장환경을 마련해주어야 함을 시사한다. 본 연구의 결과가 중국유아들의 행복증진교육 프로그램 개발에 기초자료로 활용되기를 기대한다.
