dc.description.abstract | Time-reversal symmetry property of a second order nonlinear optical hyperpolarizability is examined in terms of the Manley-Rowe power relation to find relationship to the overall permutation symmetry. An extended symmetry relation is discovered reducing the independent number of the hyper-polarizability tensor components describing the second order nonlinear optical processes. Experimental implications are discussed. | - |
