dc.description.abstract | A series of 1-substituted 2-methyl-1H-imidazo[4,5-g]phthalazine-4,9-dione derivatives 8 was synthesized from 6,7-dichlorophthalazine-5,8-dione 5 and evaluated for in vitro cytotoxicity against several human tumor cell lines. Most of the tested compounds showed potential cytotoxic activity considerably higher than that of the reference compounds, ellipticine and doxorubicin. © 2004 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved. | - |
