‘좋은 음악수업’에 대한 중학생의 인식 조사

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 중학교 학생들의 일상생활 및 학교에서 이루어지는 음악수업에 대한 실태와 ‘좋은 음악수업’에 대한 인식에 대해 알아보는 것이다. 이를 위해 서울, 경기 지역 세 곳의 중학교 2학년 학생 268명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 수집된 자료는 연구문제에 따라 빈도분석을 실시하여 평균과 표준편차를 산출하고, 독립표본 t-검정과 일원분산분석, 교차분석을 통하여 검증하였다. 분석한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째. 음악에 대한 호감도에 대해 분석한 결과, 중학교 학생들은 일상생활에서의 음악활동으로 음악 감상을 가장 많이 하고 있었고, 이러한 활동은 한 시간 미만으로 이루어지고 있었으며, 음악장르로는 대중음악을 가장 선호하고 있었다. 둘째. 학교에서 이루어지는 음악수업에 대해 분석한 결과, 많은 학생들이 학교 음악수업과 음악교사가 음악적 지식과 능력이 형성되는 데에 많은 영향을 준다고 인식하고 있었으나, 음악선호도에는 크게 영향을 주지 않는 것으로 인식하고 있었다. 또한 수업시간에 이루어지는 활동 중 노래 부르기는 학생들이 흥미롭게 참여하는 활동인 동시에 어려움을 느끼는 활동으로 인식하고 있었다. 셋째. ‘좋은 음악수업’을 위한 수업준비 영역에 대해 분석한 결과, 학생들은 학생 중심으로 이루어지도록 준비된 수업을 가장 중요하게 인식하고 있었다. 넷째. ‘좋은 음악수업’을 위한 수업실행 영역에 대해 분석한 결과, 학생들은 수업실행의 하위요인으로 수업분위기를 수업방법보다 더 중요하게 인식하고 있었다. 다섯째. ‘좋은 음악수업’을 위한 수업결과 영역에 대해 분석한 결과, 학생들은 수업결과의 하위요인으로 내적효과를 외적효과보다 더 중요하게 인식하고 있었다. 여섯째. ‘좋은 음악수업’을 위한 수업환경 영역에 대해 분석한 결과, 학생들은 다양한 악기가 갖춰진 환경과 다양한 시, 청각 자료 및 수업자료가 잘 갖춰진 환경을 가장 중요하게 인식하고 있었다. 본 연구는 중학생의 좋은 음악 수업에 대한 인식을 조사함에 따라 학생들이 원하는 ‘좋은 음악수업’의 모습을 알아보고, 이에 따른 음악수업에 대한 발전방향을 모색하는데 기초자료가 된다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 본 연구를 통해 학생들이 더 긍정적으로 느끼고, 즐겁게 참여할 수 있는 음악수업을 위한 제도적 방안과 교육환경이 마련될 수 있기를 기대하는 바이다.;The purpose of this study was to investigate how music classes are performed, the daily lives of middle school students, and how to recognize a ‘Good Music Class.’ The survey was conducted by 268 second-year students in three different middle schools in Seoul and in the Kyonggi area. The following is a summary of the analyzed results. First, The majority of middle school students enjoyed listening to music in their daily lives, which was usual done for less than an hour. Also, The most favorite music genre was popular music. Second, the result indicated that many students were aware of their musical ability and how the students gained more knowledge based on concept of music from their music teachers and music classes. However, the students thought that these results had little influence on what they enjoyed in music. Also, among the activities in the class, students perceived singing as the most interesting and also most difficult activity. Third, Many students believed that when classes supported student-centered learning, the classes were more important and beneficial. Forth, Students recognized that class environment is more important than the teaching methods as a subsidiary factor of any teaching performance. Fifth, Students recognized that internal effects was more important than external effects. Sixth, Students were aware that music classes with various kinds of musical instruments and with various poems, audio materials, and teaching materials were most important. This study allowed to introduce the image of ‘Good Music Class’ that students perceived. In the future, it should be necessary to provide the implication of this study was the class environments where all students could feel positive and enjoyed participation in classes.
