유아 음악 교사의 교수염려모델에 따른 염려에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 유아 음악 교사들의 염려수준을 그들의 교수 관심사를 통하여 살펴보고 그들이 유아를 가르치는데 있어 관심을 가지고 있는 문제가 무엇인지 알아보는 것이다. 본 연구는 전국의 유아음악교사 224명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문지는 Fuller와 Bown의 교사염려모델로 설문지를 사용하여 빈도분석, 기술 통계 분석, 신뢰도 분석, t검정, 일원분산분석, Duncan 검정을 실시하였고 개방형 문항은 자료 분석을 시행하였다. 분석에 따른 연구결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유아 음악 교육 현장에서 교사들이 겪는 자기 자신에 대한 염려를 분석 결과, 교사가 책임일 수 있는 사고가 수업시간에 발생하는 문제에 대한 염려가 가장 높았다. 둘째, 유아 음악 교사들의 업무 수행에 대한 염려를 분석한 결과, 교사가 수업에 지장을 주는 유아들을 교육하는 능력에 대한 염려가 가장 높았다. 셋째, 유아 음악 교사들이 유아에 미치는 영향에 대한 염려는 유아에게 학습에 동기부여를 시키는 것에 대한 염려가 가장 높았다. 넷째, 교사들의 일반적 사항에 따른 교사 염려 차이에 대한 결과는 먼저 성별에 따른 교사염려에 있어서는 남자 교사가 낮게 나왔지만 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 남자교사는 여자교사에 비해 자신에 대한 염려에서만 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 연령에 따른 교사 염려의 차이에 대한 분석결과, 교사 염려에 있어서는 29세 이하, 30-39세, 40세 이상 연령이 세 집단 간 교사 염려에 있어 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나왔다. 또한 음악 관련 전공자와 비전공자와의 교사 염려 차이 분석 결과로는 비전공자의 염려도가 조금 더 높게 나왔다. 최종학력에 따른 교사 염려의 차이 분석결과, 교사염려에 있어서는 4년제 대학 졸업 이상 교사보다 2년제 대학 졸업 이하 교사가 낮고 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 유아 음악교육현장에서 교사들이 느끼는 직업에 대한 만족도와 그 이유, 그리고 개선점을 분석한 결과는 먼저 유아 음악 교사 직업에 만족하는 이유는 음악 교육을 하면서 유아들이 음악을 배우면서 성장하고 발전하는 모습을 보면 뿌듯하고 보람을 느낀다는 의견이 많았다. 불만족하는 이유는 불안정한 수입과 불확실한 미래와 같은 현실적인 의견이 가장 많았다. 현실적으로 시급하게 해결되어야 할 문제점에 대해서는 학부모와의 소통을 가장 많이 언급했다. 학부모의 지나친 수업간섭과 높은 기대치가 교사로서 부담이 크다는 결과이다. 이러한 연구 결과는 유아 음악 교사의 염려가 다양한 방면에서 나타난다는 것을 보여줄 수 있다. 본 연구를 통해 유아 음악 교사들이 교육 현장에서 자신들의 역량을 충분히 발휘하여 보다 수준 높은 유아 음악 교육으로 발전할 수 있기를 기대해본다.;The purpose of this study was to search the levels of concerns of the pre-school music teachers through a matter of their teaching interest, and to find out the problems that they have when they teach children. This study was based on the survey results of 224 participants from pre-school music teachers in all over the country. The survey questions are constructed using Fuller and Bown’s teacher concerns model. The survey results were analyzed with the internal consistency check, the frequency analysis, the technical statistical analysis, the reliability analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Duncan test. The answers of open type questions were analyzed with using the spiral qualitative data analysis. The study results can be summarized as follows; First, in the results of analysis on the self-survival concerns in the teaching fields, the highest concern was the concern for an accident occurrence in the class hours which the teacher had responsibility. Second, the concern for the control of children who cause the class inconvenience showed the highest in the task concerns. Third, the concern for motivation was the highest in the student-impact concerns. Fourth, the male teachers’ concerns were lower than the female teachers’ in the general teacher concerns but it is statistically meaningless. In the self-survival concerns there were meaning results. In the analysis of age-dependent concerns, there were differences meaningfully in less than 29 year old, 30~39 year old, and over 40 year old. In the analysis of difference of music-major and non-music-major teachers, the concerns of the non-music-majors were higher than the music-majors’. In the analysis of the highest level of education, the concerns of teaching of teachers with 4 years-college-graduation were lower statistically than those of teachers with 2 years-college-graduation. Finally, the reason of satisfaction on the job was that teachers could feel worthwhile to teach children pleasantly and naturally. In the contrast, teachers who were unsatisfactory on the teaching job indicated the unstable future and incomes as the reasons. The results show the urgent problem to solve was the communication with children’s parents, and over-interference and over-expectation of parents were big burden as teacher. These study results demonstrate the concerns of pre-school music teachers appeared in various fields. This study may contribute to enhance the level of pre-school music education if the pre-school music teachers present their capabilities fully in the teaching fields with support based on it.
