교육대학원 예비음악교사의 ICT 활용 교수역량과 인식

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate pre-service music teacher‘s utilization and competency of ICT music education. The subjects of this study were 133 students who majored in music education at three different graduate schools of education in Seoul. The collected data were analyzed based on frequency analysis, descriptive statistical analysis, and one-way ANOVA. according to the research questions, the results of this study was summarize as follows. First, there were much more pre-service music teachers who did not experience teaching-learning based on ICT than people who experienced. The major reason for not utilizing ICT music education learning method was that ICT lecture were not offered in schools. Therefore, it is necessary to offer various ICT related subjects at the graduate school of education. Second, musical concepts had highest scores than other areas such as singing, instrumental music, creation, appreciation. Also, most composition majors had the highest competence in all areas, except musical concept area where vocal music majors ranked the highest. Third, pre-service music teachers perceived learning motivation as one of the five most important factors influencing their preference on ICT. Thus, the remaining factors have to be educated equally, in order for them to recognize the reasons for utilizing ICT. Fourth, the most important reason why pre-service music teachers did not prefer to utilize ICT on music education was the limitations of the educational environment, which might imply that educational materials for ICT should be supported and provided. Fifth, most pre-service music teachers recognized that to effectively teach music in schools, a teachers' ability to utilizie ICT on music education is required. Also, the results showed that pre-service music teachers recognized the necessity of skills to handle software. Therefore, the significance of utilizing ICT in teacher education must focus on technologies that educate the music software based on computer skills. The purpose of this study was to investigate pre-service music teacher‘s utilization and competency of ICT music education. This study might help to activate music teacher education on ICT, which could further provide pre-service music teachers with a chance to utilize ICT for their classes.;본 연구는 예비음악교사가 인식하고 있는 ICT(Information & Communication Technology) 활용 음악교육에 대한 역량과 활용도를 알아보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 서울지역 3개 교육대학원에 재학 중인 음악교육전공 학생 133명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 연구 문제에 따라 빈도분석과 기술통계분석, 일원배치분산분석을 실시하였다. 다음은 본 연구의 결과를 요약한 것이다. 첫째, 예비음악교사들은 ICT 활용 교수-학습을 경험한 사람보다 경험하지 않은 사람이 더 많았으며, ICT 활용 음악교육의 학습을 경험하지 않은 큰 이유는 강좌가 열리지 않았기 때문으로 나타났다. 따라서 교육대학원에서 ICT관련 교과를 다양하게 개설할 필요성을 시사한다. 둘째, 예비음악교사의 다섯 가지 학습영역에 따른 ICT 활용 역량에 대한 인식은 이해영역의 역량이 가장 높았고 대부분의 영역에서 작곡 전공자의 역량이 높았으나 이해영역에서만 성악 전공자의 역량이 높게 나타났다. 그러므로 ICT 활용 교육과정에서는 이해영역뿐만 아니라 가창, 기악, 창작, 감상영역에서도 다양하게 활용되어질 수 있는 프로그램을 구성해야 하며, 전공에 따라 부족한 역량을 키울 수 있는 차별화된 교육을 지원해야 할 필요성을 가진다. 셋째, 예비음악교사들은 ICT를 활용하여 수업을 선호하는 이유로 다섯 가지 요인 중 학습동기 부여를 가장 큰 요인으로 인식하고 있었다. 따라서 나머지 요인도 ICT의 활용 이유로 동등하게 인식될 수 있도록 교육해야할 것이다. 넷째, 예비음악교사들이 ICT를 활용하여 수업을 선호하지 않는 가장 큰 이유는 환경의 제약으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 교육당국에서 ICT 활용수업과 관련된 기자재를 지원해야 함을 시사한다. 다섯째, 대부분의 예비음악교사는 ICT를 활용한 효과적인 음악수업을 하기 위해서 교사의 활용능력이 필요하다고 인식하였으며, 구체적인 활용역량으로 소프트웨어를 다루는 기술이 필요하다고 인식하였다. 그러므로 ICT 활용 교사교육에서는 컴퓨터 능력을 바탕으로 음악 소프트웨어를 다룰 수 있는 기술을 중점적으로 교육해야함을 의미한다. 본 연구는 ICT 활용 음악교육에 대한 예비교사의 인식을 역량과 활용도에 걸쳐 조사한 것에 의의가 있다. 따라서 ICT 활용 음악교육에 대한 교사교육이 활성화되어 예비음악교사들이 실질적으로 활용할 수 있는 ICT 교육의 기회를 가질 수 있기를 기대한다.
