드미트리 쇼스타코비치(Dmitri Shostakovich)의 피아노 교육용 작품 분석과 교수법적 제안

Abstract

피아노 학습자는 다양한 시대의 음악을 경험하며 음악성의 개발과 음악적 지식을 함양해야 한다. 피아노 작품이 많은 발전을 거쳐 변화되어왔음에도 불구하고 초, 중급 과정 피아노 교재에서 다루어지는 레퍼토리는 고전과 낭만시대에 많이 집중되어있는 경향이 있다. 20세기 음악의 혁신적인 기법들과 화성들로 인하여 학습자들이 어려움을 느껴, 초 중급 교재로서 사용도가 높지 않다. 그러나 20세기 작품을 일찍이 경험한다면 그 음악을 이해하고 수용하는데 도움이 되고, 다양한 시각으로 음악을 경험할 수 있으므로 20세기 음악을 초, 중급과정부터 학습하는 것은 중요하다. 20세기 교육용 작품의 레퍼토리를 늘리기 위해 러시아 작곡가 드미트리 쇼스타코비치(Dmitri Shostakovich, 1906-1975)를 선정하였다. 쇼스타코비치는 인지도 높은 작곡가로 피아노곡도 다수 작곡하였다. 그의 피아노 작품은 프렐류드, 협주곡, 소나타, 성격 소품, 춤곡, 교육용 작품 등의 장르로 분류된다. 이 작품들에서는 서구의 문화를 수용하여 힌데민트의 영향을 받아 20세기의 현대적 기법들이 많이 보이며 바흐, 베토벤, 말러의 영향을 받아 바로크와 고전 낭만 시대의 전통적 요소들이 나타나고 있는 신고전주의의 성격이 나타난다. 그는 피아노 교육용 작품도 다수 작곡하였는데 이는 모두 초, 중급자를 대상으로 하며 어린이의 눈높이에 적절한 제목과 다양한 난이도, 대중적인 선율을 가지고 있다. 또한 단순한 2성부로 구성되어 있으며 20세기 기법과 전통적 기법들이 공존하여 신고전주의의 성격이 나타나 현대 작품을 처음 경험하는 학생들에게 적합하며 교육적 가치가 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 쇼스타코비치의 교육용 작품 중 <3개의 소곡(Three Pieces)> <어린이들의 노트(Children's notebook) op.69> <무질카(Murzilka)> <인형의 춤(Dances of the dolls)> <스페인 춤(Spanish Dance)>을 분석하여 음악적 특징들과 20세기 기법을 찾아내어 학습 포인트와 교수법적 제안을 제시하였다. 본 논문으로 인하여 쇼스타코비치의 교육용 작품이 많이 알려지고 20세기의 교육용 작품의 레퍼토리로서 활용되기를 기대한다. 또한 피아노 교사들이 작품을 이해하고 경험하여 교습 현장에서 실질적 도움이 되기를 바란다.;Piano learners should experience musical works of various periods so that develop musical ability and knowledge. Even though piano works have changed through many developments, the repertoire in piano textbooks employed in elementary and intermediate courses tends to focus only on the classical and romantic periods. The twentieth-century music is rarely used as elementary textbooks since the learners feel difficulty due to its innovative techniques and harmonies. It is important, however, to learn the twentieth-century music from the elementary and intermediate levels as it helps understand and accept the twentieth-century music and experience music from various perspectives if the learners experience it early. This thesis selected educational works of Dmitri Shostakovich’s to increase the amount of the twentieth-century educational repertoire. He is a highly acclaimed composer and composed many piano pieces. His piano works are classified into genres such as prelude, concerto, sonata, character piece, and dance. They include neoclassical aspects in which traditional elements and the twentieth-century techniques coexist. Moreover, he composed many piano educational works aimed at elementary and intermediate students. They have proper titles, various difficulties, and popular melodies for children. However, there is no domestic research on his pedagogically valuable educational works but most studies on his works are limited to research on the repertoire of advanced courses; the recognition and utilization of his educational works in Korea are not high. For these reasons, this study analyzes musical features and points out the twenties-century techniques of Shostakovich’s Three Pieces, Children’s Notebook, Op. 69, Murzilka, Dances of the Dolls, and Spanish Dance and thereby suggests learning points and pedagogical suggestions. I hope that Shostakovich’s educational works will be widely known and employed as a repertoire of the twentieth-century educational works. Also, I hope that this thesis helps piano teachers to understand these works and teach them in the field.
