- 1. Introduction
Purpose: To write a practical textbook for students planning to study in the U.S.
Activities: Plenty of tasks based on real life situations such as job interviews, making a package list, booking a campus tour, etc. In addition, there are various activities aimed at improving learners’ communicative competence such as role-play, discussion, free-talking, information gap activities, etc.
Target learners: High school or college students
Proficiency level: Intermediate-lower ~ Advanced according to the ACTFL.
Learning context: After-school program.

3. Expected Outcomes:
Students will be capable of using English in a variety of academic and social settings in the U.S.
Students’ confidence/motivation in communicating in English will increase.
