한국어 조사 '이/가'의 습득 양상

Abstract

조사 '이/가'는 숙달도가 높아져도 학습자들이 사용에 자신이 없어 사용을 회피하거나 다른 조사 '은/는', '을/를'과 대치하여 사용하기 때문에 오류가 자주 발생하는 것을 볼 수 있다. 보통 한국어 교재에서는 조사 '이/가'를 주격 조사로 초급에서 제시하고 그 이후로는 중급과 고급에서 다시 교육하지 않는 경우가 않다. 학습자들은 특히 '이/가'에 관하여 다른 조사 '은/는'과 구별하여 사용하는 것에 혼동을 많이 보인다. 중급과 고급 학습자는 내포문을 많이 접하게 되는데, 내포문에서는 조사의 의미와 통사 제약을 이해하고 구분해서 사용해야 한다. 특히, 내포문의 종류에 따라 관형절과 부사절 내포문은 내포절의 주어 제약이 강하고, 명사절과 인용절 내포문은 의미에 따라 '이/가'와 '은/는'을 선택적으로 사용할 수 있다. 대조의 의미를 나타낼 때는 주어 자리에 '은/는'을 사용하는데, 그런 경우 '이/가'와 '은/는'을 구별하여 사용하는 능력이 필요하기 때문에, 중∙고급 학습자에게 있어 내포문에서 조사의 의미∙기능에 대한 이해는 빼놓을 수 없는 과제이다. 특히 학문 목적 학습자의 경우 보고서 작성 등의 쓰기 관련 과제들을 수행해야 하는데, 복문에서 조사의 사용이 익숙하지 않다면 과제를 생산할 때마다 어려움을 겪을 것으로 예상된다. 학습자는 '이/가'에 관해 주격 조사라고는 인식하지만 세부적인 용법에 관련한 지식이 부족하여 담화 상황에서 또는 내포절의 주어 사용에서 혼란을 보인다. 그러므로 이에 관련한 학습자들의 습득 여부를 점검하고 부족한 부분에 관한 조처를 취해야 할 것이다. 이에 따라, 본 연구에서는 '이/가'의 대표적인 의미와 기능의 사용 양상은 어떠한지 그리고 내포절의 주어로 '이/가'의 사용은 어떠한지에 대한 습득 양상을 중급과 고급 학습자를 대상으로 알아보았다.;The purpose of the study is to examine Korean learner’s grammar acquisition focusing on the particle {i/ga} and subject use of embedded sentences. Since the learners are not confident in using of the particle {i/ga} and avoid use or use other particles instead. These errors also occur when learners are at an advanced level. The first chapter, it is introduced the necessity, the purpose and the method of the study, relevant studies of the particles {i/ga}. In the second chapter, theoretical background, The Second Language Acquisition, is examined with respect to this study. And basic meaning function of {i/ga} and the subject use of embedded sentences are reviewed. In the third chapter, study method is described. First, test procedure, and participants who were chosen subjects for this study are described. Second, test instruments and methods are described, and data analysis method is defined. In the fourth chapter, result of study is described. All of the participants in the test are in intermediate level and advanced level Korean language. They are total 66 persons. The learner perceives that {i/ga} is used as 'subject particle', and they lack the knowledge of detailed usage. And they confuse it in the subject use of embedded sentences. Therefore, it was necessary to look into whether the learners were acquainted with this and to integrate on the deficient part. In the fifth chapter, discussion and conclusion are described. Since {i/ga} is a grammar that continuously shows errors in advanced learners and difficulty in distinction from other particles. In this way, the more complicated the grammar is, the more appropriate education should be provided rather than being simplified.
