dc.description.abstractA beam of hydrogen molecular ions has been extracted from the MC-50 Cyclotron at the Korea Cancer Center Hospital (KCCH) to extend the research which can be carried out with the facility. In the low beam-energy experiments using large sized cyclotron accelerators, a popular and useful technique is to form molecular ions and to break them by bombarding a target. Low-energy proton beams with an energy of 5.5 MeV have been successfully generated using this method. A natSn target was used to populate states in 120Sb and 118Sb via the (p,n) reaction, γ-rays were detected to monitor the beam energy, and the spectra were compared with the results of previous works on the same reaction at compatible energy.-
