선율의 시각화를 통한 피아노 교수법

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify impressionism features from Debussy, who is one of the most important composers from the 19th and 20th centuries, and find teaching method through music visualization. This study uses the pitch-color table proposed by Edward Maryon’s research(1924) and adopts teaching methods that grasp perceptions of music such as melody, structure and unique elements in visualization prelude. This study identifies musical structure using visualization from Debussy's “Pour le piano-I. Prelude”,which has variety of impressionism techniques. Debussy idioms and unique musical structure influenced by impressionist paintings. Moreover, this method is an efficient way to create an emotional and visual approach for the student to the understand main melody, structure and atmosphere of music. This study will provide brand new repertoires for teaching methods with difficult contemporary music through visualization and be valuable for understanding music from beginner to expert. The results of this study can be used to reduce the learning curve of understanding contemporary music to help the self-directed learner understand a variety of music structures.;본 연구의 목적은 작곡가 드뷔시(Claude Debussy, 1862-1918)의 선율의 특징을 파악하여 시각적 접근을 통해 교수법적 방안을 찾는 것이라 할 수 있다. 논문에서는 색과 음의 관계에 대한 선행연구 가운데, 마이언의 연구(Edward Maryon, 1924)를 바탕으로 드뷔시의 작품《피아노를 위하여(Pour le piano)》첫 곡 프렐류드를 시각화 도표로 분석하였다. 그리고 선율에 사용된 다양한 색채적 요소를 시각적으로 분석하고, 교수법적 활용 가능성을 모색하였다. 선율의 시각화 결과, 곡의 구조 및 중심 선율과 음악 기법 등을 쉽게 파악할 수 있었다. 이는 학생으로 하여금 음악에 대한 이해를 높여 표현력에 도움이 될 수 있는 방안이 될 것이다. 그러므로 색을 이용한 시각적 교수법은 현대음악으로의 진입 문턱을 낮추는 효과적인 방안이 될 수 있음을 제시한다. 또한, 새로운 레퍼토리와 다양한 형식의 음악을 입문 및 고급단계의 학생과 이를 지도하는 교사에게까지 다양한 측면에서 도움을 줄 수 있다는 점에서 교수학적 의의를 찾을 수 있다.
