다중지능이론을 바탕으로 한 교수·학습 프로그램 연구

Abstract

At the point of time when more importance should be attached to Korean traditional music, this study applies multiple intelligence theory to looks into a teaching and learning program on Chukje (Festival), a creative orchestral work of Korean Traditional Music, which is judged to be meaningful to learn the key elements of the 2009 revised curriculum of music of creative Korean Traditional Music in which learners are relatively less interested and aims to develop a new perspective of Korean Traditional Music and present diverse and informative teaching and learning programs breaking from boring and ordinary Korean Traditional Music classes. This teaching and learning program designed for second-year students in middle school applied multiple intelligence theory so as to use eight types of intelligence: musical intelligence, linguistic intelligence, spatial intelligence, logical-mathematical intelligence, bodily-kinesthetic intelligence, interpersonal intelligence, intrapersonal intelligence and naturalistic intelligence in musical activities in diverse ways to bring learners' strong intelligence into relief and make up for their weak intelligence. Also, according to the 2009 revised curriculum of music, Class 1 is an area of appreciation in which the learners understand musical concepts and components through listening to music, and they listen to Chukje and learn elements of understanding necessary for the appreciation. Classes 2 through 4 are an area of expression in which they experience instrumental music and creative activities, and they learn a variety of tunes used in Chukje and analyze its thematic melodies and create simple melodies based on them. Classes 5 and 6 are an area of making a way of life in which they do activities of producing products through plays and learning. The characteristic of this teaching and learning program is the fact that it allows each learning to form connectivity, and allows the learners to approach the music class, collectively. A survey of the designed teaching and learning program was conducted with six in-service teachers with a career between 5 years and 28 years, and its content validity was verified. As a result, it received positive evaluations in conformity with the learners' needs and research purpose, conformity with learning objectives, application of multiple intelligence, organization and connectivity of activities and resulted in somewhat unsatisfactory evaluations in the adequacy of the contents and the allocation of time by grade level, so an attempt was made to maximize its practicality in the school setting through modification and supplementation. Therefore, hopefully, this study will be utilized as a good material for the teachers in the field, due to their prejudice towards Korean Traditional Music or they did not major in Korean Traditional Music who find it difficult teaching Korean Traditional Music and help improve the quality of Korean Traditional Music class.;본 연구는 우리의 전통음악이 더욱 중요시 되어야 하는 시점에서 비교적 학습자의 관심이 적은 창작 국악 중, 2009년 개정 음악과 교육과정의 핵심요소들을 학습하는 데 의미가 있다고 판단한 이준호 작곡의 창작 국악 관현악곡 <축제>를 다중지능이론에 적용시켜 교수·학습 프로그램을 개발함으로써, 국악에 대한 새로운 시각을 기르고, 더불어 지루하고 보편적인 국악수업에서 벗어나 다채롭고 유익한 교수·학습 프로그램을 제시하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 중학교 2학년을 대상으로 설계된 본 교수·학습 프로그램은 음악적 지능부터 언어적 지능, 공간적 지능, 논리·수학적 지능, 신체운동지능, 대인관계지능, 개인이해지능, 자연탐구지능까지 8가지의 다중지능을 음악활동 안에서 다양하게 활용할 수 있도록 하여 학습자의 강점지능은 부각시키고, 약점지능은 보완할 수 있도록 한다. 그리고 2009개정 음악과 교육과정에 따라 1차시는 음악 감상을 통해 음악적 개념과 요소들을 이해하는 감상영역으로 창작 국악 관현악곡 <축제>를 들어보고, 감상에 필요한 이해요소들을 학습한다. 2차시에서 4차시는 기악과 창작활동을 경험하는 표현영역으로 창작 국악 관현악곡 <축제>에 사용된 다양한 장단을 배우고, 주제선율을 분석하며, 이를 바탕으로 간단한 선율을 창작할 수 있도록 한다. 5차시에서 6차시는 생활화 영역으로 놀이와 학습을 통해 결과물을 만들어 내는 활동을 한다. 본 교수·학습 프로그램의 특징은 각 학습이 연계성을 이루고, 음악과정에 총체적으로 접근할 수 있도록 한 것이다. 설계된 교수·학습 프로그램은 5년에서 28년의 경력을 가진 현직교사 6명에게 설문지조사를 하여 내용타당도를 검증받았다. 그 결과 학습자의 요구와 연구목적의 부합, 학습목표의 부합, 다중지능의 적용, 활동들의 체계성와 연계성 영역에서는 긍정적인 평가를 받았고, 학년수준에 따른 내용 적합성과 시간배분에 있어서는 상대적으로 미흡한 평가를 받았다. 평가결과에 따라 수정·보완의 작업을 거침으로써 학교 현장에서의 실현가능성을 최대한 높이고자 하였다. 따라서 본 연구는 국악에 대한 선입견으로 인해, 혹은 국악전공자가 아니라서 국악지도에 어려움을 느끼는 현장의 지도자들에게 좋은 자료로 활용될 수 있기를 바라며, 더불어 국악수업의 질적 향상에 보탬이 되기를 기대해본다.
