남북한 역사교과서 내용 비교 수업방안 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 중학교 학생들이 남북한의 역사 교과서를 통해 서술의 차이가 어떠한지 확인, 이해하고 역사에 대한 해석의 차이가 있다는 사실을 알게 하는데 있다. 그리고 동일한 민족이기에 남북의 서술 내용상의 차이점과 더불어 같은 뿌리를 갖고 있다는 사실도 인식시키고자 하였다. 오늘날 남북 분단이 오래되어, 요즘 아이들은 북한은 먼 나라, 통일은 이뤄질 수 없는 일이라고 생각한다. 하지만 이산가족 상봉 장면을 보더라도 통일은 되어야 한다. 통일이 언제, 어떠한 형식으로 이루어지든 간에 통일을 대비한 준비와 이에 대한 다양한 연구가 필수적이며 시급하다고 할 수 있다. 이러한 준비를 하기 위해서는 먼저 우리 민족의 역사적 동질성 형성이 필요하다. 학교에서 이루어지는 통일 교육이 반드시 창의적 체험 활동이나 도덕 시간에 행해져야만 하는 것은 아니다. 통일 교육은 어느 교과와도 접목할 수 있고, 그 중에 역사 과목과 함께 이루어지기 쉽다. 그 이유는 남북은 처음부터 분단되어 있지 않았고 한민족이었기에 동일한 역사 내용이 형성되어 있기 때문이다. 그래서 민족 동질감 형성에 도움이 될 역사 중에 고조선을 선택하였다. 고조선은 한국 최초의 국가이기 때문이다. 고조선의 국가 형성 이후 부여, 고구려, 신라 등이 고대 국가로 성장할 수 있었다. 이런 의미에서 고조선은 단순히 한국사의 시작이라는 의미를 넘어 한국 고대 국가의 형성 과정에서 중요한 역사이다. 역사교육에서 남북한 역사 교과서를 비교하여 서술한 논문이 많이 존재한다. 하지만 남북한 교과서를 활용한 수업에 대한 논문은 없었다. 그래서 본고는 고조선 단원을 배우는 수업 시간에 북한 역사 교과서를 학생들에게 제시하여 학생이 직접 남북한 교과서를 비교하고, 활동지를 통해 이해하는 수업안을 제안하고자 한다.;This study is designed for middle school students to know the difference in historical interpretation between South and North Korea, by understanding different rhetorics in History textbook. It further aims to clarify the South and the North shares common root, despite the narrative contrast. Although the division of the South and the North Korea has been a long story, and it makes kids feel skeptical on unification of both Koreas, it is evident that Korean unification should definitely be achieved. Thus it is a prime task to get ready for the unification by doing various research on it, no matter when or how it is done. To get this started, Koreans should establish historic homogeneity in nationalistic manner. The unification education does not necessarily have to be covered in limited classes such as Ethics or Special Experience Activity for Creativity, but can be covered in any form of class. Since the South and the North has not been divided from the beginning, rather shares the homogeneous nationality, History can be the best subject to cover unification issue. I specifically chose Gojoseon for this research class, considering that is the very first state in Korea, also the beginning of Korean history, and takes important part in the process of development of ancient states. Notably, Buyeo, Goguryeo, and Shilla could develop to the ancient country stage, after the formation of Gojoseon. There are lot of works done in history education field, that revealed the contrast in History textbook of the South and the North Korea. But this will be the first work to apply actual textbook to real class. Thus, this article proposes one way of History class that helps students to compare narration of both textbooks by reading Gojoseon unit, and to understand its contrast by dealing with the given worksheet.
