동화를 활용한 사후 언어교육활동이 유아의 언어발달에 미치는 영향

Abstract

본 연구는 동화를 활용한 언어교육활동이 유아의 언어발달에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 밝히고자 하는 것이다. 이와 같은 목적을 위해 다음과 같은 연구문제를 설정하였다. 1. 동화를 활용한 사후 언어교육활동이 유아의 언어발달 전체에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가? 2. 동화를 활용한 사후 언어교육활동이 유아의 수용언어발달에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가? 3. 동화를 활용한 사후 언어교육활동이 유아의 표현언어발달에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가? 본 연구의 대상은 서울 소재 S유치원의 만4세 유아 48명이다. 그 중 24명은 동화를 듣고 사후 언어교육활동을 적용하는 실험집단이고, 24명은 동화만 듣고 사후 언어교육활동을 적용하지 않는 비교집단이다. 실험은 2013년 4월 1일부터 5월 10일까지 6주 동안 진행되었다. 유아의 언어발달을 측정하기 위하여 김영태·성태제·이윤경(2003)이 제시한 취학 전 아동의 수용언어 및 표현언어 발달 척도(Preschool Receptive-Expressive Language Scale:PRES)를 사용하였다. 연구절차는 예비연구 및 검사자 훈련, 사전검사, 실험처치, 사후검사 순으로 진행되었으며, 수집된 자료의 분석은 SPSS win 19.0 프로그램을 사용하여 두 집단의 점수 차를 t-검증하였다. 본 연구를 통해 얻은 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 동화를 활용한 사후 언어교육활동은 유아의 언어발달을 향상시킨 것으로 나타났다. 또한 언어발달을 구성하고 있는 수용언어발달 및 표현언어발달을 각각 향상시킨 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 동화를 활용한 사후 언어교육활동이 유아의 언어발달을 위한 교육에 긍정적이고 효과적인 교수·학습 활동으로 활용될 수 있음을 시사한다.;This study aims to investigate the impact of follow-up language education activities using fairy tale on children's language development. For achieving this research objectives, research problems were set as follows. 1. What is the impact of follow-up language education activities using fairy tale on children's language development? 2. What is the impact of follow-up language education activities using fairy tale on children's receptive language development? 3. What is the impact of follow-up language education activities using fairy tale on children's expressive language development? The subjects of the study are 48 children at 4 years old from S. kindergarten in Seoul, Korea. The design of the study was case-control study and data were collected by questionnaire. The subjects were classified into two groups and each group has 24 children. One is the experimental group with follow-up language education after the listening fairy tales, and the other is the comparative group without follow-up language education after the listening fairy tales. The experiemnt was conducted from April 1st to May 10th, 2013. In order to evaluate children's language development, this study used Preschool Receptive-Expressive Langauge Scale(PRES) suggested by Young-Tae KIM, Tae-Jae Sung, and Yun-Kyung LEE(2003). This study was conducted through the process of pilot research, inspector training, pre-inspection, experimental treatment and post inspection. The data was analyzed using SPSS 19.0 program and t-test for verifying differences between two groups. The results of this study are as follows. It was found that the follow-up language education activities using fairy tale improved children's language development. Also, it was found that children's both receptive language development and expressive language development, which composing total language development, were each improved. The result of this study indicates that the follow-up language education activities using fairy tale is available for children's language education as a positive and effective teaching method.
