유치원 노래지도 방법의 효율성에 관한 실험연구

Abstract

Many music educators claimed that preschool period is suitable time to introduce children musical activities. And they also proclaimed that children should be free to explore several instruments and discover the basic elements of music for themselves. Among the several musical instruments, music educators stress on the importance of music education through rhythm instruments. But most of the kindergarten teachers are using piano for singing instead. The purposes of this study is to compare and analyze the differences on the childrens abilities of listening, rhythmic expressions, singing, uses of instruments, and creative musical expressions between two groups of children. A group of children taught singing with rhythm instrument and a group of children taught singing with piano. The subjects were 44 kindergarten children of 4 and 5 years old. Subjects were grouped into two: One group singing with rhythm instruments and the other singing with piano. After children in each group had singing experiences with assigned musical instruments, experimenter tested children individually on their abilities in listening, rhythmic expressions, singing, uses of instruments, and creative musical expressions by using Loton scale, Recording Skill Development in Music. Means of two gourps on musical abilities were calculated and the data was analuzed with t-test to see the significance of the mean differences. The summary results of the study were as follow; 1.The children taught singing with rhythm instruments showed significantly better abilities in music development than the children taught singing with piano. It was significantly effective to use rhythm instruments in teaching singing than to use piano for four and five year olds. 2.In rhythmic expressions and listening there were significant difference between the groups used rhythm instruments and piano for only four year olds. 3.In singing and uses of instruments there were significant difference between two groups for four and five yearolds. 4.In creative musical expressions there were low significant difference between two groups for four year olds and no significant difference for five year olds. Scores on creative music expressions were lower than other areas of music development.

;유아기는 음률교육을 행하기에 좋은 시기이며 이 시기의 음률교육을 위해서는 여러 악기를 친숙하게 접하여 다루어 보는 경험이 중요하다고 주장되어지도 있다. 악기에는 여러 종류가 있고 많은 음악교육자들은 리듬을 통한 교육의 중요성을 강조하고 있으나(Orff,Kodale,Dalcroze)대부분의 유치원에서는 피아노에 중점을 두고 있는 실태이다. 본 연구는 유아의 노래지도에 리듬악기를 사용한 집단과 피아노를 사용한 집단간에 듣기발달, 리듬발달, 노래부리기능력, 악기다루기능력, 창의성발달간에 어떤 차이가 있는가를 비교 분석하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 연구 대상은 서울에 위치한 대학 부속 유치원의 만4.5세 유아 44명으로 피아노 개인 교수를 받아 본 경험이 없는 유아를 선정하였다. 연구방법은 대상유아를 각각 리듬악기를 사용하는 집단과 피아노를 하는 집단으로 나누어 각각의 방법에 의해 교육한 후 듣기발달, 리듬발달, 노래부르기 능력, 악기다루기 능력, 창의성발달에 대하여 음악발달검사를 실시하였다. 두 집단의 유아의 개별 음악성 발달 수행 점수를 평균내어 두 집단간의 평균차의 의가 유의한가를 알아보기 위해 t검증 하였다. 연구결과 얻어진 결론은 다음과 같다. 1. 유아의 노래지도에 다양한 리듬악기를 사용한 집단이 피아노만 사용한 집단보다 전체적인 음악발달 능력이 높았다. 그러므로 유아에게 일률적으로 피아노만 사용하여 노래지도를 하는 것 보다는 다양한 리듬악기를 사용함이 유아의 노래지도에 효율적이라고 할 수 있다. 2. 4세 유아의 경우 노래지도에 리듬악기를 사용한 집단이 피아노를 사용한 집단보다 리듬발달, 듣기발달등의 기초적인 발달영역에서 수행능력이 높게 나타났다. 그러나 5세 유아는 이 영역에서 집단간 차이가 없으므로 나이가 어릴때 기초적 발달이 이루어짐을 시사 하였다. 3. 노래부르기 능력과 악기다루기 능력에서는 4.5세 유아 모두 리듬악기 사용집단이 피아노 사용집단보다 수행점수가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 4. 창의력발달에서는 4세 유아의 집단간 점수의 차가 유의하지 않은 것으로 나타났고 5세 유아는 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다.
