초임교사와 경력교사의 의사결정 및 교수 행동유형 분석

Abstract

본 연구는 이야기 나누기 시간에 교사의 의사결정 과정과 이로 인해 나타나는 교수 행동의 유형을 초임교사와 경력교사에 따라 어떤 차이가 있는지 알아보는데 그 목적이 있다. 이에 따른 구체적인 연구문제는 다음과 같다. 1. 교사의 교수 행동 의사결정은 교직 경력에 따라 어떠한가? 1-1. 의사결정 단서는 어떠한가? 1-2. 의사결정 유형은 어떠한가? 2. 교사의 교수 행동은 교직 경력에 따라 어떠한가? 2-1. 교수 행동은 어떠한가? 2-2. 교수 행동은 의사결정 단서에 따라 어떠한가? 2-3. 교수 행동은 의사결정 단서에 따라 어떠한가? 본 연구의 대상은 4년제 대학 이상을 졸업하고 만 5세 학급을 담당하고 있는 초임교사 10명과 경력교사 10명으로 총 20명이다. 유치원 교사들이 이야기 나누기 시간에 어떠한 의사결정을 하는지, 이로 인해 나타나는 교수 행동은 무엇인지를 조사하기 위하여 자극회상기법을 이용하여 교사로부터 사후면담자료를 수집한 후, 이를 의사결정 단서 및 유형, 교사의 교수행동에 따라 분류하고 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과들을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교사들이 이야기 나누기 시간에 인식한 의사결정 단서들은 고르게 인식되고 있으나, 학습 목표에 대한 인식은 상대적으로 낮은 수준이다. 교사가 주도하는 집단 활동의 특성 상 교사는 활동의 목표를 분명하게 인식하고 이를 달성하기 위한 수업의 전개를 해야하지만, 실제로 교사들은 수업 도중 학습 목표를 많이 인식하고 있지 못하며, 초임교사가 더 적게 인식하고 있었다. 초임교사는 학습 분위기, 교수 방법, 시간 등의 단서를 많이 인식한 반면 경력 교사들은 유아, 학습 내용, 교수 방법 등의 단서를 더 많이 인식하였다. 교사의 경력에 따라 수업 중 인식하는 단서의 정도가 다른 것으로 나타났다. 교사들이 인식한 단서를 바탕으로 의사결정 유형을 분류한 결과 교사들은 교수 학습 결정을 더 많이 하였다. 초임교사는 관리 조직 결정을 더 많이 하고 경력 교사는 교수 학습 결정을 더 많이 한 것으로 나타나 교사들의 의사결정의 유형이 경력에 따라 차이가 있다고 나타났다. 둘째, 교사들은 이야기 나누기 시간에 다양한 교수 행동을 하였다. 교사들은 질문과 설명ㆍ시범을 많이 하였다 의사결정 단서에 따라 교사들이 많이 하는 행동은 다르게 나타났다. 학습 분위기, 시간, 물리적 환경의 경우 초임교사와 경력 교사가 많이 한 행동은 다르게 나타났다. 또, 학습 내용, 교수 방법, 유아의 경우 경력 교사들은 제안ㆍ요청이 초임교사보다 많이 나타났다. 즉, 교사들의 행동은 단서의 인식과 교사의 경력에 따라 다르게 나타난다. 의사결정 유형을 살펴보면 교사의 경력에 따라 교수 행동이 다른 경향으로 나타난다. 관리 조직 결정의 경우 초임 교사는 통제ㆍ지시를 많이 하고 경력 교사는 질문을 많이 하였으며, 교수 학습 결정의 경우 초임교사는 설명ㆍ시범을 많이 하고 경력 교사는 질문을 많이 하였다. 즉, 의사결정 유형과 교사의 경력에 따라 교사의 교수 행동은 다르게 나타난다.

;This study has the purpose to investigate the process of teacher's decision-making and the teacher's behavior style appeared thereby at class of sharing time in order to examine the differences according to the novice teacher and the expert teacher. Specific subjects of study by this are as follows: 1. What about the teacher's decision-making according to the teaching profession career? 1-1. What about the decision-making clue? 1-2. What about the decision-making type? 2. What about the teacher's teaching behavior according to the teaching profession career? 2-1. What about the teaching behavior? 2-2. What about the teacher's behavior according to the decision-making clue? 3-3. What about the teacher's behavior according to the decision-making type? The subjects of this study are total 20 teachers as the novice 10 teachers and the expert 10 teachers who are graduated from the four-year college or over and are taking charge of 5-year-old class. This study investigated what the kindergarten teachers did the decision-making at the class of story telling hour, and what the teacher's behaviors were to be appeared thereby. In the first place, in order to do it, the post interview data were collected from the teachers taking advantage of stimulation recollection technique. And then they were classified and analyzed according to the decision-making type, the decision-making clue, and the teacher's teaching behavior. The results of this study are summarized as follows: 1. Amount of the decision-making clue was appeared similarly but studying target was the lowest level. Teachers had little understanding of the studying target. The novice teacher had less understanding of the studying target than the expert teacher. The novice teacher recognized more clue about studying mood, teaching method, time than the expert teacher. The expert teacher recognized more clue about children, studying contents, teaching method than the novice teacher. According to teaching profession career, decision-making clue in sharing time were different. In teacher's decision-making type, teaching decision was higher than the administration formation decision. The novice teacher did more decision-making about administration formation decision and the expert teacer did more decision-making about teaching decision. 2. Teachers did many teaching behaviors in sharing time. Usually teachers did interrogation and explanationㆍsetting an example. According to decision-making clue, teacher's behaviors were different. There were differences in studying mood, time, environment between novice teacher and expert teacher. The expert teacher did request·proposal more than novice teacher in studying content, teaching method, children. Actually, the teacher's behavior was appeared differently according to teacher's teaching profession career and decision-making clue.
