고등학교 음악교과서의 스트라빈스키 음악연구

Abstract

스트라빈스키 (Igor Stravinsky: 1882-1971)는 20세기 음악의 흐름을 주도한 러시아 작곡가로서 60여 년간에 걸쳐 작곡활동을 하는 동안 후기 낭만부터 음렬주의에 이르기까지 다양한 양식을 보여주었다. 본 논문에서는 제 7차 교육과정에 의한 고등학교 음악교과서 8종에 나타난 스트라빈스키 음악이 어떤 작품들을 통해 소개되고 있는지 알아보았고, 이를 바탕으로 그의 작품 「봄의 제전」을 분석한 선행연구 자료들을 살펴보았다. 그 결과, 여러 음악적 요소의 사용으로 인해 내용의 관점이 산재되어있기에, 구체적 내용 제시와 세부적인 음악적 요소로의 접근을 시도하고자 하는 필요성을 가지게 되었다. 따라서 본 논문은 분석의 여러 음악적 요소 중에서 선율적 측면에 대한, 적절한 이론적 설명과 구체적이고 적합한 악보 예제를 보여줌으로써 학생들이 20세기 음악을 경험할 때 조금 더 깊이 이해할 수 있는 기회를 제공하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 「봄의 제전」분석에서는 전체 2부 중 제 1부 선율의 특징을 첫째, 러시아 민속음악에 근거한 선율, 둘째, 교회선법에 기초한 선율, 셋째, 앞의 두 가지 특징적 선율이외의 다른 특징적 선율 등 세 가지로 정리하여 분석 하였다. 결론적으로 이 작품이 스트라빈스키의 독자적인 리듬, 음향, 음색 등의 작곡기법으로 과거의 틀을 깨고 20세기 문을 연 주요작품 중 하나이지만, 선율 구조적 측면에서는 스트라빈스키의 다른 어떤 작품보다도 전통에 깊게 뿌리내린 작품이다. 또한, 이것으로 후세의 작곡가들에게 영향을 주었고 현대음악을 다각도에서 추구할 수 있는 가능성을 제시해 주었다.;Igor Stravinsky(1882-1971) is a Russian composer reputed as one of the most outstanding modern composers. It may not be exaggerating to say that he led the 20th century music by creating a musical language of his own. During the sixty years of his creative life, Stravinsky's stylistic change ranges from post romanticism to serialism. His stylistic changes manifest in three periods: nationalistic primitivism, neo-classicism and serialism. Primitivism and particularly Stravinsky's young dynamic personality are well realized in The Rite of Spring. This thesis aims at an investigation of Stravinsky's music in eight kinds of high school music text books revised by the 7th national curriculum. And to offer an opportunity that can experience and understand deeply 20th century music by analyzing The Rite of Spring. For the proper understanding of Stravinsky's music, this study examines the characteristic features of his works according to the change of composing styles. Also, this paper analyzed the melodic characteristics of the 1st part of The Rite of Spring. The result of the analyzed are as follows. First, the main ideas of melody are based on Russian folk music. Stravinsky developed the folk tunes by adding ornaments and by using different rhythmic patterns. Second, Stravinsky's melodies are based on various church modes. Dorian modes and Aeolian modes are used mainly among them. He used the same rhythm for the melodies in the same modes. Third, Stravinsky used diatonic or chromatic scale-wise melodies and arpeggiated chordal melodies. Also, whole-tone scales appears fragmentarily, and melodies that repeat short motivic ideas and ostinato melodies are also presented. All in all, Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring is firmly established as a 20th-century master piece featuring liberal and independent compositional styles different from the conventional styles and practices, thereby giving a powerful influence to the following generation of composers.
