국민학교 사회과 탐구수업에 대한 교사역할의 인식도

Abstract

본 연구는 국민학교 사회과 탐구수업을 이끌어가는 교사의 역할을 정확히 인지하고 실천할 수 있도록 탐구수업의 운명실태를 분석하여 국민학교 교사들의 사회과 탐구수업에 있어 역할수행 실태정도를 파악하는데 연구의 목적을 둔다. 이를 위하여 다음과 같은 연구문제를 설정하였다. 1. 국민학교 사회과 탐구수업을 위한 이론적 연수 및 자료공급의 실태 는 어떠한가? 2. 전반적인 교사의 사회과 탐구수업을 위한 교사역할 수행정도는 어떠한가? 3. 교직경력, 지도학년, 근무지역에 따른 교사의 사회과 탐구수업을 위한 교사역할 수행정도에는 어떠한 차이가 있는가? 연구의 대상으로는 서울시와 경기도의 군·읍 지역에 위치한 공립·국민학교의 교사 236명을 선정하였으며 연구방법으로는 설문지를 사용하였다. 사용된 설문지는 Massialas의 '탐구수업을 위한 교사의 역할'을 중심으로 작성하였으며, 자료의 분석은 연구문계에 따라서 빈도분석 및 평균점수와 표준편차 그리고 일원 변량분석을 시행하였다. 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 사회과 탐구수업을 위한 이론적 연수 및 자료공급의 실태를 분석한 결과 전체교사의 과반수 이상이 '보통이다' 혹은 '부족하다'에 응답함으로써 정책적 기반이 상당히 미흡함을 알 수 있다. 2. 전반적인 교사의 사회과 탐구수업을 위한 교사역할 수행정도를 알아 본 결과 모든 역할에서 보통보다 다소 높은 평균점수가 되어 비교적 긍정적인 역할수행 정도를 보였으나 그리 만족할 수준에는 미치지 못하였다. 3. 교직경력, 지도학년, 근무지역에 따라 교사의 사회과 탐구수업을 위한 역할 수행 실태를 분석하여 본 결과, 교직경력과 지도학년에 따라서는 몇 가지 역할에서만 의미 있는 차이가 나타났으나 근무지역에 따른 역할 수행의 정도에는 모든 역할에서 P＜.001수준의 유의미한 차이를 보여주었다.;This study analyzed, in order to diagnose the current operating state of inquiry instruction of social studios in elementary schools, especially the degree of teacher's role performance. For this, research questions are made as follows: 1. What are the current states of the data supply and the training for acquiring theory for inquiry instruction on social study in the elementary school? 2. What is the degree of teacher's role performance for inquiry instruction on social study? 3. What difference is existed in the degree of teacher's role performance for inquiry instruction on social study according to teaching career, teaching grade and area of workplace? The content of questionnaire is mainly made of Massialas' 'the teacher's role in inquiry instruction of social studies in elementary school'. And the data was analysed by frequency analysis, the method of mean and standard deviation and one way ANOVA, according to reaserch questions. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: 1. In the data supply and the training for acquiring theory for inquiry instruction on social study, Political help is quite needed. 2. Teachers show a little positive role performance in inquiry instruction on social study, but not satisfactory level. 3. Teacher's career and teaching grade don't influence the degree of role performance (teachers of long career and high teaching grade are better performer in a few role). But there is much difference between Seoul and Kyeong-Gi-Do(teachers in Seoul are excellent performer than Kyeong-Gi-Do in every role).
