F. Chopin의 Piano Sonata No.3 b단조, Op. 58에 관한 분석 연구

Abstract

쇼팽 (Fre´de´ric Francois Chopin : 1810~1849)은 19세기 초기에 활약했던 폴란드 출신의 작곡가이며 피아니스트로 리스트(F. List : 1811~1886), 슈만(R. A. Schumann : 1810~1856), 브라암스(J. Brahms : 1833~1897)와 함께 피아노 음악에 있어서 중요한 위치를 차지하고 있다. 그는 전 생애를 거의 피아노 음악에만 전념하였으며 조국 폴란드의 민속음악에서 볼 수 있는 리듬, 선율, 화성을 그의 작품가운데 표현하므로 국민주의적인 면을 엿볼 수 있다. 본 논문에서 쇼팽의 피아노 소나타 제3번 b단조, Op. 58의 음악적 구성과 작품에 사용된 형식, 화성, 선율, 리듬의 특징을 알아보기 위해 먼저 그의 피아노 소나타 전곡의 구조적 특징을 고찰 그 후에 소나타 제3번 b단조, Op. 58을 분석하였다. 그 결과 이 작품은 4악장으로 이루어진 전통적인 소나타형식을 취하고 있으나 느린 2악장과 빠른 3악장이 바뀌어 나타나는 점과 제1악장의 재현부에서 제1주제부의 재현이 생략된 점은 일반적인 고전 소나타 형식에서 벗어난 면이라고 할 수 있다. 각 악장간의 조성은 제1악장에서 제시부의 제1주제부와 제2주제부의 조성관계가 관계장조로 모두 고전적 양식을 따르고 있으며 제2악장이 E^(♭)장조로 되어있는 점 외에는 모두 원조인 b단조, 혹은 관계조로 되어 있다. 그러나 각 악장에 쓰여진 많은 변화화음과 반음계적 전조 혹은 이명동음적 급격한 전조등은 종래의 고전파 작품에서 볼 수 없었던 특징이다. 그러나 제일 중요한 쇼팽 피아노 음악의 특성은 낭만적인 선율이며 이 선율은 부점음형, 3잇단 음형, 여러 장식적 꾸밈음으로 전개된다. 또한 급격히 상행 혹은 하행되는 분산화음형, 반음계적 음계선율등은 그 시대 피아노란 악기의 능력을 충분히 표현하도록 다양하게 전개되고 있다. 이상과 같이 쇼팽은 고전주의의 전통적 형식인 소나타형식 범위 안에서 자유로운 전조와 낭만적인 선율등 독창적인 악곡의 처리로써 낭만주의 피아노 음악에 중요한 역할을 하고 있음을 볼 수 있다.;Frederic Francois Chopin(1810-1849) was born in Poland and played an important role in the beginning of the 19th century in music history together with F. List(1811-1886), R.A. Schumann (1810-1856) and J. Brahams(1833-1897). He had devoted entirely to the piano music throughout his life. He showed such rythm, melody and harmony as are usually observed in the polish folk music. The purpose of this thesis is to define the musial characteristics of form, style, harmony, and melodies of Chopin's piano sonata in b minor Op. 58. This sonata has a typical. form of sonata composed of 4 movements. But it is different from the typical style. It has the alteration of the slow 2nd movement and the fast 3rd movement to each other and the abbreviation of the first subject matter in the 1st movement's recapitulation. The tonality of each movement is basically b minor or relative key, except E flat major in the 2nd movement. The tonality connection of the first motive and the second within in the exposition of first movement consists in a relative major within the classical style. But the variable harmony, the chromatic modulation, the speedy enharmonic modulation are unprecedented in the pre-existed other classical works. But the most important characteristics of the Chopin's work is romantic melody, which was developed with dotted figures and triplets and various graces. And also it was developed with the broken chords and chromatic scale and melody that are rapidly rising and falling to show us the function of the piano at that time. In conclusion, Chopin used unique styles of composition such as free modulation and romantic melody within the limit of sonata form.
