유치원 교실의 공간구성이 유아의 행동에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 유치원 교실내에서 유아의 행등이 보다 바람직하게 나타날수 있는 공간구성에 대한 연구를 하기 위하여 서로 다른 형태의 공간구성에서 나타나는 유아의 행동을 관찰 비교해 보았다. 즉 교구장을 모두 벽면으로 붙여서 각 놀이영역의 공간을 분리대로 구획경계지우지 않은 유형I의 공간구성과 교구장을 분리대로 사용하여 각 놀이영역의 공간을 구획경계 배치한 유형Ⅱ의 공간구성에서 유아의 행동을 관찰 비교하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서 설정한 연구문제는 다음과 같다. 1. 두가지 유형의 공간구성은 유아의 바람직한 행동변화에서 차이를 나타낼 것인가? 2. 두가지 유형의 공간구성은 유아의 바람직하지 못한 행동변화에서 차이를 나타낼 것인가? 3. 두가지 유형의 공간구성은 유아의 각 놀이영역별 참가횟수에서 차이를 나타낼 것인가? 4. 두가지 유형의 공간구성은 유아의 각 놀이영역별 놀이지속시간에서 차이를 나타낼 것인가? 연구방법은 40명 단위의 2개 학급을 각각 실험집단I과 실험집단Ⅱ로 설정하여 2개의 실험집단을 동일하게 유형I의 공간구성에서 10일간 유아의 행동을 관찰하고 다시 유형Ⅱ의 공간구성으로 바꾸어 유아의 행등을 10일간 관찰하였다. 관찰방법은 시간표집법(Time sampling)을 이용하였고 놀이영역의 참가횟수와 놀이 지속시간을 기록하였다. 유형I의 공간구성과 유형Ⅱ의 공간구성에서 수집된 자료의 득점은 t검증으로 비교 분석하였다. 본 연구에서 나타난 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 교구장을 분리대로 하여 각 놀이영역의 공간을 구획 경계지은 공간구성이 각 놀이영역의 공간을 구획 경계짓지 않은 공간 구성보다 바람직한 행동가운데에서 놀이감 등을 갖고 다른 유아와 함께 노는 행동, 놀이후 놀이감을 정리하는 행동이 보다 많이 나타나고 있다. 2. 각 놀이영역의 공간을 분리대로 구획 경계짓지 않은 공간구성이 교구장을 분리대로 하여 각 놀이영역의 공간을 구획 경계지은 공간구성보다 바람직하지 못한 행동 가운데에서 다른유아의 놀이를 방해하는 행동, 교실내에서 뛰어다니는 행동이 보다 많이 나타나고 있다. 3. 놀이영역의 공간을 교구장으로 구획 경계지은 공간구성이 놀이영역의 공간을 분리대로 구획 경계짓지않은 공간구성보다 미술영역에서 참가횟수가 보다 높게 나타나고 있다. 4. 놀이영역의 공간을 교구장으로 구획 경계지은공간구성이 분리대로 구획 정계짓지 않은 공간구성보다 미술영역, 과학영역, 소꿉놀이 영역에서 유아의 놀이 지속시간이 더 길게 나타나고 있다.;This study was examined how the behavior of Children would turn for each by setting Type-A of classroom structure which didn't divide each play area by pushing all storage units up to the walls and by setting Type-B of classroom structure which divided each play area with storage units to study spacial disposition disigned for having the children show their behavior more desirably in a classroom of kindergarten. This study was chosen two fourty-menber classes as the objects. This study analysized by t-Test between the relative groups the collected data from the records of the doservations of the children's behavior shown after changing Type-A of classroom structure into that of Type-B and from the records of the participating times and the enduring time for each of the play area. The rusults of this study were as follows; 1. Type-A and Type-B of classroom structure showed that, in case of undesirable behavior, there were some differences in the behavior of playing with other children with playthings and in the behavior of arranging playthings after play, but Type-B showed that there was more of these behavior. 2. Type-A and Type-B of classroom structure showed that, in case of undesirable behavior, there were some differences in the behavior of blowing other children, in the behavior of hampering other children's play and in the behavior of capering in their classroom, but Type-A showed more of these behavior. 3. Type-A and Type-B of class structure showed some differences in the children's participating time of art cent, but Type-B showed more of the tendency of participation. 4. Type-A and Type-B of classroom structure showed some differences in the children's enduring time of art center, science area, housekeeping and dramatic play area, but Type-B showed thar the enduring time of the children's play was longer. than Type-A.
