Abstract
Activities of protein carboxyl methyltransferase (S-adenosyl-L-methionine:protein carboxyl 0-methyltransferase EC.2.1.1.77) and protein carboxyl methyltransferase(PCM) isoenzymes were observed in normal and abnormal tissues. (normal blood, diabetic blood, normal stomach and its tumor, normal breast and its tumor). In diabetic blood, activities of PCM increased 2 to 5 times than in normal blood and also increased 2 time in stomach tumors and 3 times in breast tumors when compared with these normal tissues. The changes of PCM isoenzymes were investigated by means of HPLC. In diabetic blood, the amounts of isoenzymeⅠ,Ⅱ and IV increased and isoenzyme Ⅲ decreased as compared with normal blood. Isoenzyme I and Ⅲ in stomach and breast tumors increased more than in these normal tissues.;정상 조직(혈액, 위조직, 유방조직)과 비정상 조직(당뇨병 혈액, 위암조직, 유방암조직)에서 Protein Carboxyl Methyltransferase (S-Ad-enosyl Methionine : Protein-Carboxyl O-Methyltransferase, EC. 2. 1. 1.77)의 활성도를 비교 측정하였고, 각각에서 Isoenzyme의 변화를 관찰하였다. 그 결과 Protein Carboxyl Methyltransferase의 활성도가 당뇨병 혈액에서는 정상 혈액보다 2 ~ 5배 증가하였고, 위암 조직에서는 정상 위조직에서보다 2배정도 그리고 유방암 조직에서는 약 3배정도 증가함을 볼 수 있었다. 또한 정상과 비정상 조직에서 Isoenzyme의 변화를 측정하였을 때 당뇨병 혈액에서는 Isoenzyme Ⅲ가 감소하였고, Isoenzyme Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅳ는 증가하였으며, 위암 조직과 유방암 조직에서는 Isoenzyme Ⅰ, Ⅲ가 증가하였다.
