어린이집 유아의 아버지 양육참여와 유아 사회적 유능감

Abstract

This study examines the paternal involvement of children in nurseries as well as their social competence. It also has the objective of identifying their relationship. The problems that are set for the objectives of this study are the following. 1. How are the paternal involvement of children in nurseries and their social competence? 2. How are the relations between paternal involvement of children in nurseries and their social competence? The targets of this study are 219 four years old and five year old children and 219 parents of private, public, and workplace nurseries located in Mapa-gu, Yeongdeungpo-gu, and Seocho-gu, Seoul. In order to identify the paternal involvement and children's social competence, the questionnaire method was applied. In terms of paternal involvement, tools of Cho Sook In (2010), which were applied by making revision to paternal involvement scale developed by Choi Kyung Soon (1992), were used to request for mothers to respond in the questionnaire about paternal involvement. In order to identify the social competence, the 'teacher's guide to the evaluation scale of children's social competence' developed by Lee Hye Won (2005) was applied, and the nursery teachers in charge were asked to respond to the questionnaire about children's social competence. SPSS 19.0 program was applied on the analysis of the collected resources in order to conduct frequency analysis on the general characteristics of the targets. Descriptive statistics were implemented to identify about paternal involvement and children's social competence, and correlation analysis was conducted to find out about the relations between paternal involvement and children's social competence. The results attained from this study have been summarized in the following. First, fathers of children in nurseries showed the highest participation in leisure activities amongst all the activities in which paternal involvement can be found. Secondly, amongst the areas of social competence, children in nurseries showed the highest abilities in comprehension of social knowledge. Thirdly, children's interpersonal skills increased as the level of paternal involvement was higher. Amongst the sub-factors, it was displayed that children's interpersonal skills increased as fathers participated more in leisure activities and guidance in life. ;본 연구는 어린이집 유아의 아버지 양육참여와 유아의 사회적 유능감이 어떠한지 알아보고 그들의 관계를 살펴보는데 목적이 있다. 이와 같은 목적을 위해 본 연구에서 설정한 연구문제는 다음과 같다. 1. 어린이집 유아의 아버지 양육참여와 유아 사회적 유능감은 어떠한가? 2. 어린이집 유아의 아버지 양육참여와 유아 사회적 유능감과의 관계는 어떠한가? 본 연구의 대상은 서울 마포구, 영등포구, 서초구에 위치한 민간, 국공립, 직장어린이집의 만 4세, 5세 유아 219명과 그들의 부모 219명이고, 아버지의 양육참여와 유아의 사회적 유능감에 대하여 알아보기 위하여 질문지 조사법을 사용하였다. 아버지의 양육참여는 최경순(1992)이 개발한 아버지 양육참여도 척도를 수정하여 사용한 조숙인(2010)의 도구를 사용하여 가정에서 어머니가 아버지 양육참여 질문지에 답하도록 하였으며, 유아 사회적 유능감은 이혜원(2005)이 개발한 ‘교사용 유아 사회적 유능감 평가척도’를 사용하였고 어린이집에서 담임교사들이 유아 사회적 유능감 질문지에 답하도록 하였다. 수집된 자료의 분석은 SPSS 19.0 프로그램을 사용하여 연구대상자의 일반적인 특성을 빈도분석 하였고 아버지 양육참여와 유아 사회적 유능감에 대하여 알아보기 위하여 기술통계를 실시하고 아버지 양육참여와 유아 사회적 유능감의 관계를 보기위하여 상관분석을 하였다. 본 연구를 통해 얻은 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 어린이집 유아의 아버지들은 양육참여 중 여가활동에 가장 많이 참여하였다. 둘째, 어린이집 유아들은 사회적 유능감 중 사회적 지식이해가 가장 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 어린이집 유아의 아버지 양육참여가 많을수록 유아의 대인관계기술이 높아지는 경향이 있고 하위변인 중에서는 아버지의 여가활동과 생활지도 참여가 많을수록 유아의 대인관계기술이 높아지는 경향이 있다.
