영상매체를 활용한 <박씨전> 지도 방안 연구

Abstract

The development of Computer and Internet has changed the mass area of culture by digital paradigm, and the educational field has received the major change from a teacher-oriented to a learner-oriented. Because of the change of the medium environment which is different from the past, learners use new media positively and skillfully. So now, teachers could no longer ignore these demands of learners who live a new media generation. Thus, the research is needed to give more importance how to teach than what to teach. Most students have thought that classic literature is difficult. The classic literature cannot but be turned away in which most students are not interested if new teaching schemes to keep up with the changing environment are not applied. Therefore, teachers have to make various teaching methods both to help students have a interest and a familiarness to the classics and to get rid of preconception that the classics are difficult. This essay suggests a teaching scheme using the drama that could give students, who are surrounded by various media which is their life itself, opportunity to come across classic literatures easily. So to speak, it suggests a teaching process, which makes learners participate positively, which is made of levels preparing→checking→acting→evaluating→settling through the <Park-ssi-jeon>. This activity to make a short drama is very helpful and makes students cooperative. It would lead the students in the middle of the classics who assumed the attitude of an onlooker. To students who live in 21 century, it would give a chance to understand and enjoy the classics more than before. It would stimulate interest and curiosity. Furthermore, it would make students get a new idea of Classics and read them again later. Also, learners would get a rich originality which is very important to whom live in the present day from the activity to gather and exchange opinions. These days, teaching material has been changed from a fixed type to open sourced type. To teach using visual media properly through the learner-oriented teaching method make students have curiosity and interest, and make them reach the goal of study not only for the classic literature but for the other subjects.;컴퓨터와 인터넷의 발달은 문화의 전반을 디지털 패러다임으로 변화시키고 있으며, 교육현장 역시 가르치는 교사 중심에서 배우는 학생 중심 즉 수용자 중심으로의 변화를 맞이하고 있다. 예전과 다른 매체 환경의 변화로 말미암아 학습자들은 과거의 학습자와는 달리 새로운 매체를 적극적이고 능숙하게 활용한다. 이제 현장 교육에서는 이러한 영상세대 학습자의 요구를 더 이상 무시할 수 없는 처지가 된 것이다. 따라서 ‘무엇을 가르칠 것인가’도 중요하지만, ‘어떻게 가르칠 것인가’에도 더욱 중점을 두는 연구가 필요하다. 21세기를 살아갈 청소년들은 고전소설은 어렵다는 인식을 갖고 있다. 학생들이 재미없어하는 고전문학은 변화하는 시대상황과 관련하여 새로운 교육방법을 탐구하지 않고서는 외면당할 수밖에 없다. 따라서 교사는 효과적인 고전소설교육을 위해 학생들이 흥미를 갖고, 고전소설을 친밀하게 느끼도록 하는 다양한 교수-학습 방법을 강구하여 고전소설이 어렵다는 선입견을 없앨 수 있도록 해야 한다. 본 논문은 이러한 문제의식을 바탕으로 다양한 매체 환경 속에 둘러싸여 매체가 생활이 된 학생들에게 고전문학을 보다 쉽게 접할 수 있는 기회를 제공하고자 드라마를 활용한 수업을 제안하고자 한다. 학습자의 주체적인 참여를 유도할 수 있는 고전소설 교육방법론을 이론적으로 탐색하고, 그것을 바탕으로 <박씨전>을 통해 ‘준비하기→점검하기→활동하기→평가하기→정착하기’의 실질적인 교수-학습 과정을 제시하고자 한다. 드라마를 활용하여 한편의 짧은 드라마를 제작해보는 이 활동은 매체의 활용과 협동학습이라는 측면에서 그 의의 및 성과를 찾아볼 수 있다. 우선 생활 속의 매체를 수업에 들여와 직접 제작해 봄으로써 그동안 고전소설 수업에 있어서 방관자의 위치에 머물 수밖에 없었던 학습자들을 수업의 중심으로 끌어들인다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 21세기를 살아가는 요즘 학생들에게 과거의 고전소설을 보다 깊이 이해하고 감상할 수 있는 기회를 제공함으로써 학습에 대한 긍정적인 기억을 오래할 수 있다. 이러한 활동은 결과적으로 호기심과 흥미를 자극하여 고전소설의 가치를 새롭게 인식함으로써 미래에도 고전소설을 지속적으로 향유하게 될 것이다. 또한 다양한 의견수렴과정과 아이디어 교환과정에서 지식·정보화 사회를 살아가는 현대인에게 매우 중요한 능력인 창의력이 향상된다. 오늘날에는 열린 교재관으로 변화해가고 있다. 교사들이 열린 시각을 가지고 감각적인 영상매체 세대인 학습자에게 발맞춰 교육에 영상매체를 적절히 활용하면, 학생들의 호기심을 유발하여 학습흥미를 높이게 되고, 학습자 중심의 효율적인 교수-학습 과정을 통해 고전소설학습 뿐만이 아니라 다른 학습에서도 효과적으로 학습목표를 달성할 수 있을 것이다.
