간호대학생의 자아개념과 학업성적간의 상관관계 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 전인적간호를 담당하게 될 간호대학생들의 자아개념의 특성을 파악하고 자아개념이 학교교육에서 가장 비중이 높고 객관적인 지표로 되고 있는 학업성적과는 어떤 상관관계가 있는가를 분석, 규명하므로써 간호교육의 효과적인 지도방안의 도움이 되고저 함이다. 자아개념의 내용으로는 정원식이 제작한 표준화된 자아개념검사를 사용하여 총자아긍정점수를 비롯하여 8개의 요인과 자아평가를 다루었으며 연구대상 간호학생들의 학업성적은 각 대상교에 비치된 학업성적기록부를 참고로 하였다. 실시기간은 1981년 3월 20일부터 4월 20일까지 였으며 연구대상은 간호대학 간호학과생 55명, 간호전문대생 83명, 의과대학 간호학과생 30명으로 총 168명이다. 연구자료의 통계처리는 S.P.S.S.에 의한 전산처리로 하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 연구대상 간호학생들은 긍정적인 자아개념을 지니고 있었고(M=314.7) 외적자아준거체제에 있어서는 자정적자아(M=65.4), 도덕적자아(M=64.8), 신체적자아(M=64.4)가 높게 나타났으며 사회적자아(M=58.4)가 낮게 나타났다. 내적자아준거체제에 있어서는 자아동일(M=111.0)이 높게 나타났으며 자아수용이 낮게 나타났다. (M=99.7) 이는 연구대상 간호학생들은 자신에 대해 긍정적이고 가치있는 삶을 영위하고 있다고 지각하고 있으며 특히 도덕적기준이 높고 자기가정에 대해 긍정적인 반면 타인과의 대인관계에 있어서는 원만하지 못한 것으로 나타났다. 2. 학교별로 본 연구대상 간호학생들의 자아개념 차이는 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. (p＞0.05) 3. 전(全) 연구대상 간호학생들의 자아개념과 전학년평균학업성적간의 상관관계는 상관계수 r=.20으로 유의적이었고(p＜0.05) 이는 자기자신에 대해서 긍정적인 학생들일수록 학업성적도 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 4. 간호대학 간호학과생들의 자아개념과 학업성적간의 상관관계는 상관계수 r=.30 (p＜0.05)으로 유의적이었다. 5. 간호전문대생들의 자아개념과 학업성적간의 상관관계는 상관계수 r=.22 (p＜0.05)으로 유의적이었다. 6. 의과대학 간호학과생들의 자아개념과 학업성적간의 상관관계는 상관계수 r=-.22 (p＞0.10)으로 유의적이 아니었다.;The purpose of this study is to serve in finding effective method of guiding the Nursing student's life, by discovering the Characteristics of their self-concept with analysis of the correlation between it and their school achievment. In Seoul, 55 students from the Nursing College, 83 students from the Nursing Junior College, and 30 students from the Nursing department of medical College which add up to 168 were selected as sample for the study. Data was collected from March 20, 1980. to April 20, 1981. The tool for the study is the test of standardized self-concept and school achievement was obtained from transcripts of each institutions. The analysis was done by finding the means, standard deviations, coidficient of correlation, and analysis of variance. The statistical analysis was done by the S.P.S.S. Computer method Therefore the following conclusion was be made. 1. The inquired Nursing Students in this study showed positive self concept where family self score was the highest wheras, the social self score was lowest. This implies that they tend to be content of their home but they are not sociable. 2. There showed almost no significant in the test among different college (p>0.05) 3. There was a significant correlation between the self concept and school achievement in Nursing college. (r = .30, P<0.05) 4. There was a significant correlation between the self concept and school achievement in Nursing Junior college. (r= .22, P<O.05) 5. There was non significant correlation between the self concept and school achievement in Nursing department of the medical college. (r = -.22, P>0.10)
