英國 敎師敎育制度의 發達過程에 對한 一硏究

Abstract

국 영문초록 수록;本 硏究는 英國 敎師敎育의 制度에 關한 發展過程을 歷史的인 觀點에서 考察하였다. 따라서 英國의 敎師敎育의 制度에 發展過程을 敎育的 側面에서 價値性을 찾고자 하였으며 直接的인 試圖는 아니나 우리나라의 敎師敎育 制度의 間接的인 도움을 찾아보는데도 多少 觀點을 두었다. 硏究方法으로는 文獻을 通한 記述的 方法 (descriptive method)을 使用하였으며 硏究의 內容은 英國 敎師敎育 制度를 歷史的 背景과 體制를 中心으로 時代的 要因에 따라 廣義的으로 서술하였다. 英國 敎師敎育의 歷史的 背景은 師範學校를 改稱하는 過程이 敎師敎育의 改革인 同時에 1963年以前에 師範學校는 敎師養成機關으로 存在되었다. 그러나 로빈스報考書(Robbins Report)에 의거 改稱할 것을 主張한 後 實質的인 改革은 地域敎員養成機構(A.T.O)가 設置되면서 敎育大學으로 改編되었다. 그 內容은 授業年限이 2年에서 3年으로 延長되고 敎育大學 改編後 敎科過程, 敎科運營, 敎師養成, 他大學과의 關聯 등은 모두 제임스 報告書에서 나타내었다. 따라서 A.T.O의 機能은 地方分權化에 의거 機能을 擴大했다. 제임스 報告書는 敎員資格 取得이나 敎師養成에 따른 敎科運營, 管理, 再敎育 等에 關해 敎師敎育發展에 中極的 役割을 하였으며 특히 敎師敎育을 3期로 나누어 實施하였다. 第1期, 個人的 學問的 充實化를 위한 敎育을 받는 段階 第2期, 試補敎育(假採用期間의 敎師敎育)과 現職 導入敎育으로서 初期的 訓練의 段階 第3期, 現職敎育을 實施하는 段階이며 補習過程, 高等過程, 短期講習, 等으로 敎師敎育에 革新을 가져왔다. 敎員센터(Teachers' Center)는 英國 外에도 여러 國家에서도 出現하고 있는데 이것은 敎師가 커리큐럼(Curriculum) 開發의 커다란 힘이 되고 있음을 나타내는 世界的인 傾向이라 볼 수 있다. 여기서 말하는 英國의 敎員센터는 個個의 敎師가 敎育의 內容에 關해 특히 自由裁量權을 가지고 있다고 할 수 있으며 오늘날 英國은 600個의 敎員센터가 있다고 한다. 英國의 敎師敎育의 制度는 國家的 次元과 敎育의 發展을 期할 수 있는 좋은 制度라 思料되는 바이다.;This thesis is about the development of teachers' training system in Britain from historical view and this can be a kind of helpful reference in this field in Korea. The method used in this thesis is a descriptive method through dlocumentary records. 1) The British teachers' training system was reformed by changing Training College into College of Education and extending two years' training course into three years' course. 2) Teachers' training program was announced according to James Reports and was given divided into three cycles. 3) The first cycle was concerned with personal major courses and the second cycle was about probationary and induction course and the third about inservice education and training. 4) Teachers' Centers gave teachers free choice in their courses and the number of the Teachers' Centers increased up to six hundred today. This thesis deals mainly with the probationary year and induction education in British Teachers' training system.
