地域敎育 資料室의 實態 調査 硏究

Abstract

The improvement of educational method is demanded in a modern society in which a rapid social change takes place, and more people want to receive education. Instructional media, through which students can learn more effectively and which can draw the motivation and attraction of learners, should be introduced. To effectively utilize the instructional media in class, all the necessary educational materials should be available to the users whenever they need. For this reason, it is necessary to establish a media center with adequate educational media staff. The media center should be administrated by qualified media staff. This thesis attempts to explain the function of the media center and the responsibility of the media staff. It also attempts to delineate the way to effectively manage the media center. In addition, the thesis studies the current collections and the facilities of the center. Then, the current status of the media centers in the five branches under the board of education in Seoul was analyzed through personal interview. All the past literature were reviewed to illuminate the theoretical background. The contents of the study are as follows: 1. The study examines the function of a media center, the roles and duties of the personnel in charge of the center, management of the media center and the adequate collections and facilities. 2. The study surveys the current status of the five media centers - - east, west, north, south, and central branches under the board of education in Seoul - - and makes some suggestions to improve the media programs. The result of the survey of the media centers in the five branches under the board of education in Seoul shows that they are mainly engaged in only circulating equipment and materials to schools under their supervision of each branch. Occasionally, the media centers provide them with in-service education on how to utilize materials and equipment. The problems raised in the survey are as follows: 1. The lack of the collections at the media centers. 2. The lack of the qualified media staff. 3. The lack of updated materials and inconsistency in the classification method. 4. The unbalanced utilization of media materials. 5. The timeworn materials and their low quality. 6. The unpreparedness of public information. To resolve such problems and to more effectively manage the media center, the thesis suggests as follows: 1. The scope of collections should be extended. 2. Sufficient amount of copies should be provided. 3. The active production of materials is demanded. 4. Ground for the weeding materials should be provided. 5. The qualified media staff should be secured. 6. The media center should be stocked with sufficient facilities and equipment.;現代 社會는 급격한 사회 변화와 인구의 증가 및 그에 따르는 敎育 人口의 증가로 敎育 方法의 改善이 요구되고 있다. 교육방법의 개선을 위해서는 보다 많은 학생들에게 효율적인 학습을 제공하고 학습자들의 동기유발과 흥미를 끌 수 있는 교수매체가 적용되어야 한다. 학습에 있어 교수매체가 충분히 사용되어 그 效果를 발휘하기 위해서는 모든 사용자가 필요한때에 원하는 자료를 이용할 수 있도록 敎育資料를 일정한 곳에 비치하여 관리·운영하는 교육자료실의 설치가 필요하게 되었다. 본 硏究에서는 교육자료실의 기능 및 담당요원, 효율적인 자료실 운영을 위한 방안 모색, 그리고 자료실에 필요한 보유자료 및 시설에 관하여 고찰하여 보고 서울 시내에 있는 5개 교육구청 자료실의 실태를 조사 연구하고자 한다. 본 硏究는 理論的인 배경 고찰을 위한 문헌 연구와 실태조사를 위해서 면담의 방법을 이용하였으며 연구내용은 다음과 같다. 1. 지역 교육 자료실의 기능, 자료실 담당요원의 역할 및 의무를 알아보고 자료실 운영의 제반 사항과 자료실에 필요한 보유 자료 및 시설을 밝힌다. 2. 서울 시내에 所在하고 있는 5개 교육구청- 동부, 서부, 남부, 북부, 중부 - 자료실의 실태를 조사하여 거기서 나타난 문제점과 그에 따르는 바람직한 해결방안을 제시하고자 한다. 본 硏究에서 다룬 교육자료실은 급변하는 문화발전과 인구의 증가 및 필요로 하는 정보량의 급증으로 인한 敎育의 과학화가 요청되고 있는 현 시점에서 교육방법의 改善을 위해서 그 機能을 最大限으로 발휘하여야 하고 運營의 활성화를 위해서는 資質을 갖춘 담당요원과 그에 필요한 資料 및 施設을 확보해야만 한다. 서울 시내 각 교육구청 자료실에서는 관할구역내의 개별 학교가 구비하지 못한 교재 및 교구를 보유하여 貸出하여 주는 業務를 주로 하고 있으며, 학교의 요청이 있을 때 기·교재활용에 관한 연수교육과 기재의 간단한 수선도 하고 있다. 지역 자료실의 실태를 파악하고 그에 따르는 문제점을 살펴보면 다음과 같다. 1. 보유하고 있는 자료의 수와 종류 부족 2. 담당요원의 비전문성과 인력부족 3. 자료의 시대성 결여 4. 분류방법의 통일성 결여 5. 자료활용의 불균형 6. 자료의 노후와 불량성 7. 홍보활동의 미비 이와 같은 문제점을 解決하고 보다 효율적인 교육자료실의 운영을 위하여 다음과 같이 제언한다. 1. 비치 자료의 양이 절대적으로 충분히 공급되어야 한다. 2. 충분한 복사본이 제공되어야 한다. 3. 활발한 자료제작이 요구된다. 4. 폐기 처분의 근거를 마련해야 한다. 5. 자료실 담당요원의 전문화가 요청된다. 6. 충분한 제작 시설과 설비를 갖추어야 한다.
