ICT(정보통신기술)활용 협동학습이 통일교육 흥미도 및 목표 달성도에 미치는 효과

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 학교통일교육에서"ICT(정보통신기술)활용 협동학습"이 학생들의 통일교육에 대한 흥미도와 통일교육 목표 달성도(지식, 기능, 가치·태도)에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보고자 하는 것이다. 이에 본 연구자는 중학교 2학년 도덕 '남북 통일과 통일 실현 의지' 단원에 대한 "ICT활용 협동학습"프로그램을 개발하였고 이를 수업에 적용하였다. 연구 대상은 부천시 S중학교 학생들 152명으로 하였으며 실험 집단과 비교 집단으로 나누어 실험 집단에는 본 연구자가 개발한 "ICT활용 협동학습" 프로그램을 적용하고 비교 집단에는 전통적인 통일교육 방법 중 일반 강의식 수업을 7차시에 걸쳐 실시하였다. 학습자의 통일교육 흥미도와 통일교육 목표 달성도(지식, 기능, 가치·태도) 변화의 측정을 위해 사전-사후검사 통제 집단 설계(Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design)에 기초하여 실험하였으며 실험결과는 SPSS WIN 10.0 프로그램을 이용하고 공변량 분석(ANCOVA)을 통하여 통계적으로 검증하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, "ICT활용 협동학습"은 일반 강의식 수업 방법보다 학습자의 통일교육에 대한 흥미도를 향상시키는데 매우 효과적이었다. 둘째, "ICT활용 협동학습"은 일반 강의식 수업 방법보다 통일교육 목표 달성도 중 '지식'부분을 향상시키는데 효과적이었다. 셋째, "ICT활용 협동학습"은 일반 강의식 수업 방법보다 통일교육 목표 달성도 중 '기능'부분을 향상시키는데 효과적이었다. 넷째, "ICT활용 협동학습"은 일반 강의식 수업 방법보다 통일교육 목표 달성도 중 '가치·태도'부분을 향상시키는데 효과적이었다. 이러한 연구 결과로 볼 때 본 연구가 시사하는 점은 현재 학교에서 일반적으로 실시하고 있는 전통적인 통일 교육 방법보다는 새로운 교육 패러다임에 적합한 'ICT활용 수업'과 교실에서 남북 공존의 가치와 능력을 함양케 하는'협동학습(Collaborative Learning)'을 혼합한"ICT활용 협동학습"이 학생들의'통일교육 흥미도'와 '통일교육 목표 달성도'를 높이는데 효과적이라는 것이다. 그러므로 학교통일교육에서 "ICT활용 협동학습"을 이용한 다양하고 효과적인 통일교육 프로그램을 개발하는 노력이 필요할 것이다.;The purpose of this study was to investigate how "Collaborative Learning utilizing ICT(Information & Communication Technology)" ^(63))Collaborative Learning utilizing ICT(Information & Communication Technology)" is a type of collaborative Learning activity which is designed to take advantage of various kinds of internet, multimedia, presentation, videos and audio tapes materials. in unification education influences students' interests and goal achievements of unification education(knowledge, functions, values and attitude). For this, "Collaborative Learning utilizing ICT" program was developed and based on 'South-North unification and actualization will of unification'unit in Middle School 2nd graders' textbook. The subjects were 152 students of S middle school in Bucheon and they were divided into two groups: the experiment group applied to "Collaborative Learning utilizing ICT" and the control group applied to traditional lecture-centered instruction. The instructions were practiced through total 7 periods. 'Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design' was designed to measure the changes in learners' interests and their goal achievements of unification education. The results were analyzed by SPSS 10.0 program and ANCOVA was used as the data analysis procedure. The results are as follows. First,"Collaborative Learning utilizing ICT" is more effective to improve the learners' interests in unification education than lecture-centered instruction. Second,"Collaborative Learning utilizing ICT" is more effective to improve 'knowledge' part among goal achievements than lecture-centered instruction. Third,"Collaborative Learning utilizing ICT" is more effective to improve 'functions' part among goal achievements than lecture-centered instruction. Fourth,"Collaborative Learning utilizing ICT" is more effective to improve 'values and attitude' part among goal achievements than lecture-centered instruction. These results of the study suggest that "Collaborative Learning utilizing ICT"combined with lecture utilizing ICT appropriate to new education paradigm and Collaborative Learning for cultivating North-South coexistence senses in class is more effective than commonly used, traditional lecture-centered instruction to improve the students' interests and goal achievements of unification education. Therefore, there will be need for efforts to develop various and effective programs applied "Collaborative Learning utilizing ICT" in unification education.
