율곡사상에 대한 성서적 이해

Abstract

基督敎의 土着化 問題는 다년간 論議되어온 韓國敎界에 있어서의 매우 중요한 課題의 하나이다. 本 論文은 이에 대한 하나의 解答을 얻기 위하여 韓國의 代表的 思想家요 敎育者인 栗谷 李珥를 擇하여 '栗谷思想의 聖書的 理解'를 敎育理念을 中心으로 하여 試圖해 보았다. 먼저 栗谷에 關하여서는 그의 著書를 통하여 그의 生涯와 業績, 敎育思想을 살펴 보았는데 그가 생각한 바 敎育的 人間像은 謙遜한 能力人이요 銳利한 先見之明이 있는 能力人이었으며 敎育過程에 있어서는 家庭敎育과 學校敎育 및 社會敎育(鄕民敎化)이라는 三段階로 區分하여 정리할 수 있었다. 특히 그가 강조한 敎育理念은 '立志. 明知. 力行'이라는 세가지로서 '誠의 敎育哲學'이라는 말로 要約해 보았다. 다음으로 예수에 대하여서는 聖書(공관복음)에 나타난 그의 生涯와 公生活(傳道事業) 3年半 동안의 傳道 내용에서 業績과 敎育思想을 살펴 보았다. 지내온 행적으로 보아 敎育的 人間像은 溫柔하고 謙遜한 能力人이었으며 率先垂範하는 大衆의 벗으로 정리하여 보았다. 敎育過程에 있어서 內容이 되는 중요한 부분은 '하나님 나라' 宣布와 세 律法인 山上垂訓임을 말하였고 특기할 것은 敎育方法으로 특수한 점과 일반적인 원칙 몇 가지로 考察하여 나타난 敎育理念은 '믿음. 소망. 사랑'의 세 理念으로서 '사랑의 敎育哲學'이라고 要約해 보았다. 이어서 栗谷思想에 대하여 聖書的 立場에서 比較 敎育哲學的 考察을 試圖해 보았다. 여기에 있어서는 세가지 敎育理念을 각각 짝지어 '立志와 소망'은 敎育의 指向하는 바 目標가 되며 '明知와 믿음'은 그것을 위한 內容이 되며 '力行과 사랑'은 敎育實踐의 요령(法)이 된다는 것을 밝혀 보았다. 이와 같이 栗谷의 교육이념을 聖書的 立場에서 比較하고 정리하여 봄으로써 敎育哲學的 意義를 모색하여 보았다. 要컨대, 栗谷과 예수의 敎育理念에 있어서 뜻하는 바 謀事在人하는 바는 같으나 成事在人(栗谷)하는 것과 成事在天(예수)한다는 것은 확실히 差를 보이고 있다. 그러나 窮極的으로는 '誠의 哲學'과 '사랑의 哲學'은 하나일 수 있다고 보아 새로운 韓國的 敎育哲學은 '誠의 哲學 늑 사랑의 哲學'이어야 할 것임이 밝혀졌다고 보며 이것이 示唆하는 바 現代敎育思想的 意義는 자못 크다고 보는 바이다.;Naturalizing Christianity in Korea is left unanswered as one of the most important problems which have been discussed for years in the religious circle. This study is intended to manifest the pertaining problems centering around educational ideas through the Biblical understanding of Yul Kok-LEE Yi who had been one of the Koreas leading thinkers and educators. Firstly through his writings his life, accomplishments, and educational thought were studied. His educational image of man is the courteous man of ability, of keen foresight, and his educational system can be mainly devided into three types of home education, school education and social education(Hyang yak : 鄕約, the community regulation). His educational ideas involves "Ipchi"(立志, decision of purpose in life), "Myungchi"(明知, intelligence) and "Yuckhang" (刀行, strenous efforts); these may shortly be expressed as "Educational Philosophy of Sincerity." Secondly for Jesus Christ is studied HIS life, public life(missionary work) reflected in the Bible(diatessaron) and HIS accomplishments and educational thought are derived from the missionary works covering three and a half years. From the standpoint of achievements of HIS lifetime, the educational image of man could be described as the competent of gentleness, modesty, namely a friend of the mass of : people who takes initiative and sets example to others. The most important part of the educative process indicates declaration of Heaven and the Sermon on the Mountain, a new commandments, Characteristically and generally investigating into the educational ideas definitely suggests "Belief", "'dish" and "Love" which might be called "Educational Philosophy of Love." Furthermore was attempted to compare between Yul Kok with each out of those from Bible could result in metaphorical and analogical classification of, namely what the decision of purpose in life and which stand for the aimes of education, intelligence and belief stand for the conteits of education, strenous effort and love stand for the practical ways of education. Metaphorically and. systematically examining,e educational ideas of both Yul Kok and Jesus showed obviously its meaning; though both ideas are consistent in "Planning depends upon human", there must be inconsistency between Yul Kok's "Achievements depend upon human" and Jesus' "Achievements depend upon Heaven". If the philosophy of "Sincerity" and "Love" are presumably consistent, it must be obvious that a new philosophy of Korean education should be the philosophy of "Sincerity" and "Love", then it must have a great significance upon the contemporary educational thoughts.
