中學生의 讀書傾向에 關한 實態調査硏究

Abstract

본 論文은 國語 敎育의 方向 模索을 爲한 男女 中學生들의 讀書 傾向에 關한 突態 調査 硏究이다. 본 硏究는 國語科의 말하기, 듣기, 쓰기, 읽기의 4가지 領域 중 읽기 指導를 中心으로 한 것이다. 읽기의 學習에서는 여러가지 글을 교재로 採擇하는 데 國語科敎科書에 나타난 文學에 관한 글은 높은·비율을 차지하고 있다. 特히 諦, 小說 ,隨筆 等의 글을 數科 學習에서 읽는 것은 國語料 읽기 零習에서만 나타나며 國語科에서의 읽기는 모든 孝問의 學問 基礎가 되므로 國語科에서의 읽기 指導는 매우 重要하다. 그러므로 우발적인 讀書 指導로서는 國語科의 讀書 指導 目標를 達成하기가 어렵다. 그러므로 본 硏究는 中學生들의 여러 가지 讀書 傾向을 通하여 國語料 敎育의 올바른 方向을 제시하는 데 그 目的을 두고 있다. 본 硏究의 理論的 背景으로는 國譜科 읽기의 目標와 讀書 指導의 必要性, 讀書 指導 方法 等을 제시하였고 설문지를 통한 調査 硏究에서의 표집 대상은 서울 특별시 소재 男女共學 2個校를 선정하여 學年 別로 男, 女 한 학급 씩 총 1학급 720名을 대상으로 하였다. 그리하여 讀書에 對한 一般的인 傾向을 調査한 結果 다음과 같은 結論을 얻었다. 讀書 環境 面에서 볼 때 學生들의 讀書 場所는 主로 家庭이며 家族 全體의 장서량에 비해 學生들이 읽을 圖書가 不足하며또父母들의 家庭에서의 讀書 狀態가 소극적이어서 자녀들로 하여금 讀書에 對한 意慾과 흥미를 누릴 수 있도록 環境 造成을 못하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 讀書 興味 面에서 볼 때 冊을 읽게 된 동기가 敎師나 父母의 적절한 지도에서가 아니고 우연히 읽게 된 경우가 많았고 또 男學生은 탐정 소설을, 女學生은 순정 소설을 좋아하여 讀書 편향적인 모습을 보이고 있어 바른 讀書 指導가 要望되고 있다. 讀書 經驗 面에서 볼 때 하루 중 T . V시청과 冊 읽기 시간 비교해서 T . V 시청하는 시간이 긴 것으로 나타났고 좋아하는 冊의 種類에서는 만화책을 아직도 즐겨 보고 있어 양서 선택 指導가 要望되었다. 讀書 活動 面에서 보면 女學生보다 男學生들의 讀書力 伸張이 要求되며 讀書가 學習에 미치는 結果에 對해서는 도움이 된다라고 긍정적인 반응을 보이고 있으며, 공공 도서관 이용율이 낮고, 讀書에 對한 체계성이 없고, 讀書에 對한 습관 형성이 잘 안되어 있으며, 讀書 障碍 요인으로는 學校 공부 때문에가 1위로 나타났으며 많은 學生들이 讀書 後 처리 面에서 귀찮다는 이유로 讀後感 쓰기를 기피하고 있는 것으로 나타났으며 學校 國書館 施設을 확충, 보완하는 일이 시급한 것으로 나타났으며 보다 나은 學校와 讀書 環境 조성이 要望된다. 以上의 結論을 通하여 볼 때 中學校 과정에서의 讀書 指導는 보다 면밀히 계획되고 실천되어야 한다고 판단된다. 따라서 본 고의 結論을 토대로 提言을 한다면 첫째, 讀書 指導에 선행 조건으로 家庭과 學校에서의 讀書 環境이 조성되어야 하겠다. 둘째로 방학 중에 讀書 교설을 개설하여 다양한 讀書 經驗의 기회를 넓혀주어야 겠다. 셋째, 讀書 습관 형성을 위하여 學校에서는 讀書 時間을 최소한 주1시간씩 두어 실시해야하며,공공 도서관의 이용을 권장하고 學校 圖書館 施設을 개방하여 적극적으로 利用되도록 해야 하겠다. 넷째, 說書 障碍 요인의 수위를 차지하는 것이 공부때문이므로 월례 고사, 과중한 숙제 등을 경감 하기위한 노력이 계속되어야 하겠다. 다섯째, 전 교사가 讀書 指導 교사가 되어 사제 동행의 모범을 보이고 어머니 讀書會를 조직하여 父母들의 讀書를 권장하고 讀書 상담실을 두어 수시로 讀書매 對한 개별 를 해야 하겠다.;The thesis is the research on the actual condition on middle school students' apttitude for reading for the search of the right direction of the education of the Korean language. This research puts an emphasis on reading guidance of four areas in the department of the Korean language; speaking, listening, writing, and reading. There can be various characteristics in reading guidance. One of them is to enrich emotions. Various pieces of writing are chosen for learning of reading. Among them, the writings on literature found in the text book of the department of the Korean language take considerable percentage of them. Especially reading poetry, novel, essay, and biography in curiculum can be found only in the department of the Korean language. And as reading in the department of the Korean language becomes basic competence of reading in all studies, reading guidance in this part is very important. Therefore, it is difficult to reach the goal in the department of the Korean language through unintentional and unsystematical reading guidance. And so I surveyed and research on the reading tendency of our middle school students. Here I may present the direction to guide them in right way in reading books. And here I presented aims of reading in the department of the Korean language, necessity of reading, and the ways of reading guidance as a theoretical back ground. I selected two mixed public schools locating in Seoul, and chosed 360 boy students and 360 girl students from each grade. So a total of 720 girl and boy students answered the question. As the result of research on the general reading tendency, I can get such considerations and suggestions as follows; They are greatly divided in four respects such as reading enviornment, reading interest, reading experience, and reading activities. First, in respect of reading enviornment, the places for reading of the students are chiefly their home. But the books for them are not enough compared with the numbers of the colleccollection of books for the whole formity Moreover, as their reading condition is very poor, they cannot make desirable reading environment for their children, nor enable them to feel necessary pleasure and desire for reading. In respect of reading interest and motivation, most of girls and boys equally said, their motivation was casual, but very few of them said their teachers or their parents asked them to do so. And Boy students' favorite books are defective stories, and girl students', novels. It's necessary we should guide them to choose good and desireable books lest they should have a partial tendency in reading. In respect of reading experience, because the time for watching T.V. is longer than the time for reading, the favorable conditions of T.V. which appeals audio-visually let them keep away from reading. They still love comic books, hence it is required that we should guide them to choose good books. In respect of reading activities, the development of reading ability is required to the boy students than girl students. And I can find out the positive reaction that reading is helpful to learning. However, reading lacks system and there reveals low ratio in using public library. Too much homework is showed as the first rank obsticle in reading. And the habit of reading is still poorly formed. And many students have a tendenct to avoid the impression of after reading book. Four suggestions on the education of reading can be followed as follws; First, reading guidance should be done both at school and home and especially the reading enviornment should be established. Second, the chance of reading experience should be enlarged during vacation by opening readingrooms. Third, character building which is the uttimat aim of reading should be accomplished, by removing the factors of the students, obstacles to reading. Fourth, the uses of public libraries should be enlarged and the facifities of school libraries should be expansed. Fifth, all teachers should play a role of reading guidance teachers and concentrate on the expansion of reading ability. In addition to that, we can assign the time for re reading altogether and should tried to reach the purpose of reading guidance by managing the time for reading effectively.
