그림좌절 검사에 의한 한국과 일본의 교차 문화적 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 한국과 일본의 대학생을 대상으로 자신의 감정을 어느정도 직접적으로 표현하는지, 그리고 어느 정도 자신의 감정을 억제하고 내재시키는가를 비교 분석하여 보았다. Rosenzweig의 그림 좌절 검사(P-F Study :Picture-Frustration Study)청년용을 측정도구로 사용하여, 피험자는 한국의 대학생 236명과 일본의 대학생 224명의 자료를 수집하여 그 중 200명씩을 선택하여 최종적으로 분석하였다. 자신의 감정을 겉으로 표현하는 것을 "외적 반응", 자신의 감정을 곁으로 표현하지 않고 마음속으로 생각하는 것을 "내적 반응"으로 하여, 자극이 되는 그림좌절 검사의 좌절 장면에 대하여 어떠한 반응이 보여지고, 두 반응 사이에 어떠한 차이가 있는지 검토해 보았다. "외적 반응"과 "내적 반응"의 성향을 알아보기 위하여, 그림 좌절 검사의 질문지와 별도의 답안지 2매를 작성하여 첫 번째 장은 상대방에게 직접적으로 표현하는 언어를, 두 번 째 장은 상대방에게 직접적으로 표현하지 않고 마음속으로 생각하거나 느낀 감정을 기입하도록 하였다. 그리고 이 그림좌절 검사의 좌절 장면에 대한 외적 반응과 내적 반응을 각각 채점하고 평정인자와 초자아 인자를 산출하였다. 외적 반응과 내적 반응의 국가별, 성별의 평균과 표준 편차를 산출하고 그 차이를 알아보기 위해서, t검증, 분산분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 우선, 전체적으로 생각할 수 있는 것은, 남성에 비해 여성이 외적 반응과 내적 반응간에 차이가 많은 것으로 나타났다. 남성의 경우 한국 남성이 일본 남성 보다 외적 반응과 내적 반응이 차이가 많은 것으로 나타났고, 여성의 경우는 일본 여성이 한국 여성 보다 외적 반응과 내적 반응간에 차이가 많은 것으로 나타났다. 특히 일본 여성의 경우 M반응(무벌적 반응: Impunitiveness)을 제외한 모든 반응에 있어서 외적 반응과 내적 반응간에 차이를 나타내었다. 모두 15가지 유형에서 한국 남성은 11개, 한국 여성은 12개, 일본 남성은 10개, 일본 여성은 14개의 유형에서 외적 반응과 내적 반응이 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 것으로 부터 한국인 보다 일본인이 외적 반응과 내적 반응간에 차이가 많을 것이라는 가설이 맞지 않는 것으로 밝혀 졌다.;The purpose of this study was to examine and compare Korean undergraduates with Japanese undergraduates on the degree of emotional expression. To achieve this purpose, the present study employed P-F Test (Picture-Frustration Test, Rosenzweig) as a stimuli to examine differences between external-response and internal-response to the frustration scenes. 236 Korean undergraduates and 224 Japanese undergraduates data were collected 400 subjects(each 200) responses were randomly selected and analysed. The results showed significant gender and cultural differences in external/internal responses. The results of this study are as follows; According to the research, Korean men showed bigger difference between the external-response and the internal response than Japanese men. In women's case the difference between the responses in the case of Japanese women was bigger than Korean women. Especially as for Japanese women in every response except for M(Impunitivenss) response there was noticed certain difference between the external-response and the internal-response. Among all 15 types, there was difference between the external-response and the internal-response in 11 types for Korean men, in 12 types for Korean women, 10 types for Japanese men, and finally 14 types for Japanese women. Based on the results illustrates above, the theory has proven to be not correct that Japanese might have bigger difference between the external-response and the internal-response than Korean.
