클럽활동 유형별 운영실태에 대한 교사와 학생의 의견 분석

Abstract

Unlike other field of curricula importance of club activities is attracting more attention for its engaging interest and hobby of students more comprehensively. In this connection in this treatise the study conducted survey on the status of club activities which are now practiced on full-day, weekly and bi-weekly basis so that students can be offered better pattern of club activities. The result of analysing survey being conducted by means of questionnaires are as follows : First, there was no significant difference in the response from students on questions about extent of smooth operation of club activities, planning ahead of time and average cost for club activities. Regarding questions on the need of club activities and smoothness in its operation result of analysis revealed that full-day pattern is the best one in terms of efficiency of operation. Weekly system club activities appeared to have most numerous element of interference and statistically difference in opinion was considerable. Regarding level of educational effect of club activities and personal satisfaction again full-day pattern had highest percentage of positive response and showed statistically significant difference. As the most highly desired pattern of club activity full-day pattern again showed highest mark and there was difference of opinion. Second, teachers responding to the questionnaires did not show any statistical difference in their reply t o questions on goals of club activities, level of perception, cost or cost in the future. Full-day pattern was considered as the smoothest one (83.6%) in terms of operation of club activities. On the need of club activities full-day pattern (63.6%) was perceived as the most necessary one and to the questions on efficiency in operation full-day pattern scored highest while weekly pattern was answered as the one suffering from most numerous element of interference. In terms of substantiality, educational effect and level of personal satisfaction of students full-day pattern came out on top and there was statistical difference in opinion. When it is summed up on the basis of above-mentioned result following conclusion can be reached : First in terms of club operation full-day pattern of club activities elicited most numerous positive responses and from this fact it was revealed that level of satisfaction for teachers or students was high because preparation for club activities was made thoroughly in advance. Second, both teachers and students out weekly pattern as having most numerous elements of such interference and this fact reveals that schools and community were not forthcoming with their support for club activities. Third, on the basis of aforementioned need for availability of more diverse activities suitable t o Patterns of club activities can be recognized. In this connection this writer like to propose continuous researches on the following fields : First, there should be research with focus on comparison between the group of teachers and students from the standpoint of issues and points requiring improvement. Second, in connection with setting up issues for research in consideration of scale of school and number of students and depending on scale or number of operating clubs detailed research on difference in level of satisfaction of students and by different clubs should be continued.;클럽활동은 학생들의 전인 교육적 측면에서 다른 교과 영역과는 달리 그 중요성이 부각되고 있다. 클럽활동이 학생들의 흥미와 취미 등을 고려한 활동이기 때문이다. 본 연구의 목적은 전일제, 정일제, 격주제의 세 유형으로 나누어 실시되고 있는 클럽활동 교육의 실태를 파악하여, 학생들에게 보다 나은 클럽활동을 제공하는 데 도움이 되고자 하였다. 연구 목적 달성을 위하여 세 유형의 클럽활동 해당 학교에 교사와 학생들에게 질문지를 배부하여 회수하는 조사 연구를 실시하였으며, 질문지를 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학생들의 의견에서는 클럽활동의 원활성 여부, 계획성, 평균 비용등에서는 통계적인 의견의 차이가 없었다. 클럽활동의 필요성, 운영이 잘 되고 있는지에 대한 의견에서 전일제가 운영이 잘되는 것으로 분석되었으며, 저해요인에서는 정일제가 많았으며 통계적으로 의견 차이를 나타내었다. 클럽활동의 교육적 효과와 개인적 만족도 역시 전일제 학생들의 만족도가 높아 통계적으로 의미있는 차이를 보였다. 앞으로 희망하는 클럽활동에서는 일반적으로 전일제를 희망하고 있었으며 통계적인 의견 차이를 나타내었다. 둘째, 교사들의 의견에서는 교사들은 클럽활동의 목표나 유의점에 대한 인식정도, 비용이나 앞으로의 적정 비용에 대하여도 통계적인 의견 차이는 없었다. 클럽활동이 원활히 운영되는지에 대해서는 전일제(83.6%)가 가장 원활하다고 인식하였다. 클럽활동의 필요성에 대해서는 전일제(63.6%)가 필요성을 많이 인식하였고, 운영이 잘되는지에 대해서는 전일제가 잘 운영되고 있었으며, 클럽활동 저해요인은 전일제에 저해요인이 많았다. 계획의 충실도, 교육적 효과, 학생들의 개인적 만족도 모두에서 전일제가 가장 만족하는 것으로 분석되었으며, 통계적인 의견의 차이가 있었다. 이상의 결과를 토대로 분석하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 클럽활동의 운영은 전일제가 잘 되고 있고, 학생들이나 교사 또한 만족도가 높은 이유는 교사나 학생 모두 클럽활동을 위한 준비도가 잘 되어있기 때문이라고 해석할 수 있다. 둘째, 클럽활동의 저해요인에 있어서는 정일제가 교사와 학생 모두 저해 요인이 가장 많은 것으로 응답하였으며, 학교나 지역사회가 클럽활동을 위한 지원이 적음을 나타내 주었다. 또한 학생들의 흥미도도 전제나 격주제에 비하여 떨어지고 있음을 감안할 때, 준비가 되지 않은 상태에서 어떤 활동에 임하고 있기 때문이라고 할 것이다. 셋째, 이상의 결과를 토대로 볼 때, 각 클럽활동 유형에 적합한 활동이 다양하게 이루어져야 할 필요가 있음이 제기되었다. 이상과 같이 실시한 본 연구는 다음과 같이 후속연구를 제안한다. 첫째, 하나의 클럽 유형에서 교사와 학생이 인식하는 문제점과 개선점에 대한 논의가 이루어져 두 집단간 비교가 이루어져야 할 것이다. 둘째, 연구 문제를 설정하는 데 있어서 학교의 규모나 학생 수 등을 고려하여, 규모나 개설 클럽 수에 따라 학생들의 만족도가 어떻게 다르며, 또한 각 클럽에 따른 만족도는 어떠한지에 대한 세부적인 분석이 필요할 것으로 사려된다.
