도시지역 사회 학교운영에 관한 조사 연구

Abstract

본 연구의 목적을 제시하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학교 교육이 바람직한 방향으로 발전하기 위해서 교사와 학부모·주민들이 바라는 지역 사회 학교에 대한 의견이 어떻게 나타나고 있는지 조사 분석하고 둘째, 바람직한 지역 사회 학교 교육이 지양해야 할 역할과 기능을 규명하여 셋째, 학교 교육 계획을 수립하는데 필요한 참고 자료를 제공하고자 함이다. 연구 방법은 질문지를 통하여 지역 사회학교에 대한 교사, 학부모·주민의 의견을 살펴 보았다. 질문지는 서울 시내에 근무하고 있는 국민학교와 중학교 교사에게 400부, 국민학생과 중학생을 갖은 학부모에게 400부를 배부하여 회수된 685(85.6%)를 분석하여 백분율(%)을 기준으로 하였고 상관 계수(x^(2))를 내어 유의한 것을 뽑아 해석을 용이하게 하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 현대 사회가 발달할수록 교육의 역할이 증대되는데 지역 사회와 학교가 유리되어 지역 사회 학교에 대한 올바른 인식이 되지 못하고 있어 효율적인 학교 교육을 어렵게 하고 있다. 둘째, 학교는 제반 활동과 시설을 잘 활용하여 청소년 문제 해결및 지역 사회 발전을 위한 사회 교육 기관으로서 인정받아야한다. 따라서 학생, 학부모·주민, 교사는 유기적인 협조로 지역 사회 학교를 둘러싸고 있는 환경을 개선하여 효율적인 운영이 이루어지도록 한다. 셋째, 지역 사회 학교에 대한 교사, 학부모·주민의 의견은 다음과 같이 분석된다. 1) 지역 사회 학교에 대해 정확히 인식하지 못하고 있다. 2) 현대 사회가 발전할수록 학교가 지역 사회 발전에 공헌하리라고 기대하고 있다. 3) 지역 사회 학교에서 강조해서 가르쳐야 할 영역은 교사는 사회적 지식이라하고 생각하고 있으며 교사는 자신이 근무하고 있는 학교만이 자신의 학교로 친근감을 느끼고 학부모·주민은 학부형의 입장에서 친근감을 느끼고 있는 편이다. 4) 교과 과정의 조직은 표준화되어 모든 사람이 평등한 교육을 받아야 한다고 생각하며, 여러 교과를 통합한 생활 중심의 교과과정이 효과적이며 지역 사회내의 효율적인 자원 활용이 중요하다고 생각하고 있다. 5) 학교에서 행하는 개방 활동이 부진하며, 학교가 지역 사회의 문제 해결에 도움을 주지 못하고 있다고 느끼고 있다. 6) 지역 사회에서 행해지는 제반 활동의 참여가 부족하며, 교사는 학교와 지역 사회와의 긴밀한 유대 관계로 학교와 지역 사회가 서로 돕기를 바라며, 학부모·주민은 학교가 학생들을 위한, 전인 교육의 장이되어 주기를 바라고 있다. 이러한 결과에 비추어 보면 우리 나라 지역 사회 학교에 대한 인식을 높여 지역 사회와 학교가 공동 책임 의식을 갖고 모두가 참여하여 올바른 청소년을 이끌어 주고, 지역 사회 발전을 도모할 수 있도록 유도해야 하며, 학교와 지역 사회 주민과 함께 신뢰하는 가운데 진정한 대화로서 효율적인 학교 교육이 이루어지도록 지역 사회 학교 교육이 행해져야 한다.;The purpose of this study is as follows: First, to examine and study for the opinions on the community schools which teachers, parents and residents desire for the school education to advance toward desirable direction. Second, to light up desirable role and function of community school education which should head for, Third, and to show necessary reference data advantageous for the establishment of school education programmes. Through written inquires in the way of this study, examined views of teachers, parents, and residents. Four-hundreds (400) copies of inquires were distributed to teachers presently in office, of primary, and middle schools in Seoul city, and 400 others were to parents of primary, and middle school students. Analysis was made on the withdrawn 685 copies (85.6%), on base of percentage, and made it easy for analysis after extracting effective ones through relative index number (χ^(2)) The result of this study is as follows: First, although education role was in its increasement, when the modern society got advanced, it made effective school education difficult with unrighteous recognition on community schools, while community and schools were apart. Second, schools should be recognized as an social education institution for promotion of community and solution of juvenile problems, by fully utilizing school activities and installations. Accordingly, students, parents. Residents and teachers should under systematic cooperation, and by improving circumstances that surround community schools, enable effective management. Third, the opinions of teachers, parents, residents on community schools are analized as follows : They do not have right understanding on community schools. They expect schools to dedicate to enable promotion of community, when modern society gets advanced. As to the fields for which community schools should teach with stress on are social knowledge wished by teachers, and cultural education wished by parents-residents. The teachers feel awful intimate to currently assigned school, as their own, and parents-residents, as the students' parent feel the same. They think that every people should have equal education by standardizing the courses of curriculum, the curriculum courses centering around the living by unifing various curriculum would be effective, and effective application of resources in the community would be important. They feel that schools have not given much help to the settlement of matters of community, and opening activities conducted by schools have been inactive. Participation in the various activities lead by community was lack. Teachers wished both community and schools would help each other in a close association, and parents-residents wished schools to be the ground of allout education for students. In the light of above result , both knowledged society and schools under consciousness of common responsibility and participation of all , should lead juveniles rightfully by enhancing understanding on our community school, should induce to enable promotion of community, and education of community schools should be carried out , for effective school education through truthful conversations within faith of both schools and residents of community.
