올바른 언어생활을 위한 맞춤법 표기 및 표준어 사용 실태조사 연구

Abstract

사람은 홀로 살 수 없는 동물이므로 협동하며 살게 되는데 이 협동은 언어, 곧 음성언어와 문자언어에 의해 이루어진다. 따라서 원만한 사회 생활을 하기 위해서는 올바른 언어 생활을 하도록 해야 한다. 올바른 언어 생활을 하기 위해서는 '한글 맞춤법'과 '표준어'를 바로 알아야 하는데, 이 '한글 맞춤법'과 '표준어 규정'이 개정된 지 5년이나 지났지만 아직도 혼란에 빠져 있는 것이 현실이다. 이러한 시점에 있어서, 이 연구는 현재 중학교 학생들의 '맞춤법' 표기 및 '표준어' 사용실태를 조사, 분석하여 혼란을 야기시키는 근거가 어디에 있는지를 알아내어 '맞춤법' 표기 및 '표준어' 사용을 좀 더 정확하고 쉽게하기 위한 방향을 제시하는 데 목적이 있다. 이 목적을 수행하기 위하여 '한글 맞춤법'과 '표준어 규정' 가운데서 문제점으로 지적되고 있는 부분과 학교 교육 현장에서 오류를 빚는 빈도수가 높은 것을 선정, 설문지로 작성하여 서울시내 6 개 중학교 3학년 학생 302명을 대상으로 사용실태를 조사 분석하였다. 실태조사를 분석한 결과 현행 '한글 맞춤법'과 '표준어 규정'을 공포 할 당시 논란이 되었던 것이 현장에서도 역시 혼동을 빚고 있었으며, 일상생활에서 익숙해진 표기법과 현행 '한글 맞춤법' 및 '표준어 규정'의 괴리에서 심한 오기율을 보였다. 이러한 결과는 '한글 맞춤법' 및 '표준어 규정'에 문제점이 있다고 보며 이러한 문제점을 보완하고 정비해서 올바른 어문 생활을 조기에 정착 시킬 수 있도록 해결 방안을 마련하는 것이 시급함을 보여준다.;One cannot live by himself(herself), thus he(she) must live in cooperation with others. The cooperation is achieved by the use of the language; the phonetics and the letters. It is, therefore, required of one to use the language correctly in order for him (her) to live amicably with others in a society. To use the language correctly, he (she) must fully understand "The Standard Spelling System of Hangul," and "The Standard Korean. "But, unfortunately, both "The Standard Spelling System of Hangul" and "The Standard Korean" are unclear till today when it is over 5 years since their revision. At this moment, the purpose of this thesis is to present a correct and clear guideline for the usage of "The Standard Spelling System of Hangul, " and "the Standard Korean, " by pinpointing where the cofusion is rooted through the research and analysis of the middle school students' use Of the Korean. To fulfill the purpose, the most frequently pointed problems of "The Standard Spelling System of Hangul," and "The Standard Korean," were selected, as well as the most common mistakes the students make. These were put into a survey form for the 302 third grade middle school students from the six chosen schools in Seoul. Upon analyzing the results of the survey it was discovered that what had presented the problems from the onset of the public announcement was still viewed as the probelms, and added to the confusion. And the difference between the spelling system that is developed from everyday use of the language and the Standard system provided a deep confusion that resulted in errors. It all comes to a conclusion that "The Standard Spelling System of Hangul, " and "The Standard Korean" need urgent revision that suppliment and fix the present situation so that they can be of service for the early settlement of the correct use of the language. The revision must be made after studying the real usage of the language in order to be of help the mass. Rendering the results of this survey in evaluating the present systems, this thesis could be of some help in drawing a solution for the correct use of the language.
