國語 敎育의 性格에 대한 문헌 분석 연구

Abstract

국어 교육의 성격 규정은 학교 교육에서의 국어 교육의 위상, 목표 설정과 교육과정의 구성, 교과서의 편찬, 교실 수업의 전대 등 국어 교육 전반에 직접적으로 영향을 미친다. 그렇기 때문에 국어 교육의 성격에 대한 학자들 사이의 서로 다른 견해는 심각히 논의되어야 하며, 가능한 한 각각의 특징을 분석하여 시급히 통합, 조정되어야 한다. 따라서 본 연구는 국어 교육의 기본 성격, 개념, 목표에 대한 여러 학자들의 주요 견해들을 살펴보고, 이로부터 바람직한 국어 교육의 방향을 모색해 보는데, 그 目的을 두고 있다. 이 目的을 수행하기 위하여 국어 교육에 관한 문헌 연구를 통하여 여러 학자들의 주요 주장들을 살펴보았다. 언어의 기능에 대한 관점에서부터 궁극적인 목표, 교육내용 등에 이르기까지 각 주장들은 상당한 정도의 차이를 보이고 있었다. 이상의 문헌 연구에 의하여 국어 교육의 성격에 대한 여러 학자들의 견해를 그 강조점에 따라 다섯 가지로 분류하였다. 1. 배달말의 얼 교육으로서의 국어 교육 2. 韓國人으로서의 文化市民 양성 교육 3. 言語 使用 伸張으로서의 국어교육 4. 文學, 言語學, 修辭學, 知識 敎育으로서의 국어교육 5. 文學的 感受性과 想像力의 국어교육 본 연구에서 검토한 국어교육의 성격들은 모두 그 나름대로의 교육적 가치가 있는 것들이다. 따라서 이같은 여러 측면의 국어 교육에 대해 이분법적 판단은 내릴 수 없으며, 다만 상대적 판다, 비중의 경증 판단이 있을 뿐이다. 그런데 문제는 이 같은 포용적인 태도를 취하면서 모든 주장을 받다들인다고 국어 교육이 잘 되는 것은 아니다. 국어 교육은 이론적, 교육 실제적으로 체계화되어야 한다. 국어 교육의 성격과 목표를 논하는 자리에서 우리는 최소한 학생의 필요, 교육적 보편성, 교과적 특수성, 교과의 성격이나 목표 설정에서의 교육 가능성을 항시 염두에 두어야 한다. 교육의 질은 한 개인의 인간으로서 삶의 질을 보장하는 것으로 구두선만으로는 불가능하다. 국어 교육의 질을 높이고, 국어 교육이 뚜렷한 방향감을 갖고 나아가기 위해서는 국어 교육의 본질적 성격에 대한 분명한 인식이 시급히 이루어져야 하겠다.;The character stipulation of Korean language education directly influences the whole Korean language education ; such as the phase of Korean language education in school education, setting up the aims, the constitution of curriculum, editing of the textbook, the development of classroom lesson and so on. So the different opinions each of scholars asserts must be discussed, unified and arbitrated by analizing each of qualities as quickly as possible. Therefore this researches is aiming in close scrueinies of many scholars' chief opinions about basic character, concepts, abd aims of Korean education and from this in thinking the desirable direction of Korean language education. First of all I examined the character of Korean language education had offered in Korean language curriculum from the first to the fifth, and many scholars' chief opinions through researching the documents of Korean language education in order to carry these aims. I found out that each of assertions has considerable differences of degree from the function of language to ultimate purpose and contents of education. By this researches of documents I classified the opinions many scholars asserted about the aims of Korean language education into five points as following ; 1. Korean language education teaching the spirits of "Baedalmal" (Usually people called Korean "Baedal peoples" and Korean "the country of Baedal".) 2. Education training Korean as to be cultral citizens. 3. Korean language education expanding use of language 4. Korean language education teaching literature, linguistics, rhetoric, and knowledge 5. Korean language education creating the sensibility and imagination of literature All the characters of Korean language education examined in this researches are very valuable in the side of education. So we cannot judge Korean language education which one is right or wrong but tolerant attitude doesn't always educate Korean language well, and Korean language education must be systematized actually. Whenever the character and aims of Korean language education is discussed, we always think at least about the students' necessity, educational universality, the trait of lessons, the character of lessons, and the educational possibility in planning the aims. It is impossible that we teach the person by only word of mouth, because it is the quality of education that elevates that of life as a human being. So the essential character of Korean education must be recognized clearly as quickly as possible to elevate and develop the quality of Korean language education with remarkable sense of direction.
