대학 일반생물학 교재와 고등학교 생물교과서의 비교 분석

Abstract

제 5차 교육과정에 의해 개편된 고등학교 생물교과서를 대상으로 대학 일반생물학 교재와의 내용에 대한 비교 분석을 통해 고등학교 교과서가 대학의 전문과정을 위한 기초 자료로서의 기능을 얼마나 잘 수행하고 있는지 알아보았다. 이는 앞으로 새롭게 변화되어갈 우리나라 생물 교육과정의 바람직한 방향 제시에 참고자료가 될 수 있도록 하기 위함이다. 고등학교 생물교과서(과학 Ⅰ 상 및 생물)와 대학 일반생물학 교재의 비교 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 고등학교 「생물」 교과서는 장차 이공계로 진출할 자연계 학생들의 선택과목으로 이해를 돕기 위한 그림이나 사진을 많이 수록하였으며, 탐구학습을 위한 실험을 많이 수록하였고, 학습의 효율을 높이기 위해 단원의 전후에 개요와 요약, 종합문제를 포함시키고 있다. 2. 대학 일반생물학 교재는 고등학교 생물교과서에 비해서 양적으로 확장되었으며 내용에 있어서도 심화되었다. 3. 고등학교 생물교과서(과학Ⅰ상 및 생물)와 대학 일반생물학을 전체적으로 비교해 보면 모두 분자, 조직ㆍ기관, 개체군에 대한 수준 강조도가 높게 나타났다. 4. 주제 강조도에 있어서는 고등학교 생물교과서(과학 Ⅰ 상 및 생물)와 대학 일반생물학이 모두 구조와 기능을 가장 강조하였고, 유전적 연속성, 다양성과 단일성에 대한 강조도도 높게 나타났다. 5. 관련 단원에 대한 공통 내용의 연계성을 분석하면 대체로 높은 편인 것으로 나타났다. 6. 고등학교 교과서와 대학 일반생물학에서 다 같이 공통적으로 확장, 심화되어야 할 주제는 생물과 환경이다. 7. 고등학교 교과서에서 신설되어야 할 단원은 생명의 물리화학적 기초와 식물의 구조와 기능 단원이다.;This study has been attempted to see the contents of high school biology textbooks are appropriate as prerequisites for learning college general biology. High school biology textbooks were published newly in 1990 by a revision of the fifth educational curriculum. The purpose of this study is to suggest the direction of a desirable biology curriculum in Korea. High school biology textbooks and college general biology textbooks were analyzed and compared each other. As a result, the following conclusions were obtained. 1. The high school biology textbooks are the elective course for the students to be major in natural science and industrial field. It contains many figures to help comprehension, and experiments for research learning, and abstract, summary and problems in each chapter to increase the learning efficiency. 2. The college general biology textbooks were expanded quantitatively and its contents are more advanced. 3. In synthesizing comparison with high school biology textbooks and college general biology textbooks, they all emphasize the level of "molecule", "tissue and organ" and "population". 4. In the high school biology textbooks and college general biology textbooks, the themes of "structure and function" is the most emphasized and "genetic continuity" was the second and "diversity and unity" was the third. 5. The common contents on each chapter showed a good connection. 6. The theme of "organism and environment" should be expanded and deepened in high school biology textbooks and college general biology textbooks. 7. The chapter of "chemical basis of life" and "plant structure and function" should be established newly in high school biology textbooks.
