이화여자대학교 전산망(Ewha Womans University Network) 구성방법에 관한 연구

Abstract

In this study, the Ewha Womans University network was designed to improve educational and research capability of the university and support the computerization of the university administration. EWUNet should be remote - logged in from any location in the university campus, accessed through high speed communication line from unit LAN, and connected to outside the university campus. EWUNet should be .designed to satisfy the following conditions : diversity of computer hardwares and users, ease of maintenance and repair, future expandability, and inexpensive structure. Therefore, in this study an hierarchical network structure was proposed, and an FDDI BACKBONE with ring topology was designed in order that the main computer located in computer center and the computer system located in the central library can be accessed by anyone within the university campus. Subnets for colleges and departments were designed as ETHERNETs combined by inexpensive and expandable 10BASE5, 10BASE2, and 10BASET.;본 연구에서는 이화여자대학교의 본위의 목적인 교육 및 연구환경을 개선하고, 대학행정 전산화를 지원하기 위해 필수적인 이화여자대학교 전산망(EWUNet)을 설계하였다. EWUNet은 캠퍼스 전역의 원격 로그인 기능 및 단위 LAN과의 고속통신 경로를 제공할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 외부 사용자와의 접속기능을 갖추어야 하며, 컴퓨터 및 사용자의 다양성, 유지보수의 용이성 및 향후 확장성과 도입비용등의 필요조건을 만족하는 구조로 구성되어야 한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 망형태로서 계층적 구조를 선택하여 캠퍼스의 어느 곳에서나 원하는 컴퓨터로의 경로를 제공하여 사용자가 쉽게 접근할 수 있도록 하였다. 전자계산연구소의 주 컴퓨터와 중앙 도서관의 컴퓨터 시스템을 캠퍼스 전역에서 이용할 수 있도록 링 토폴로지를 갖는 FDDI로 BACKBONE망을 구성하고 광 노드는 전자계산산연구소, 중앙도서관 및 과학관에 설치하여 캠퍼스 전 시스템을 흡수하도록 구성하였다. 각 단과대하 및 행정부처 별로 조직된 Subnet으로는 비용과 확장성이 우수한 10BASES. 10BASE2 및 10BASET ETHERNET으로 구성하여 작업의 계층화 및 분산처리를 실현하도록 하였다.
