창조성 계발을 기초로한 20C 음악지도에 대한 연구

Abstract

현대음악은 그 양식에 있어 과거의 음악과는 매우 다른 실험적이고 혁신적인 성격을 띤다. 이러한 성격은 예술교육의 사명인 창조성 계발의 하나로 새로움을 추구하는 능력을 길러주는 것이며, 새로운 창작 내지는 경험을 심어주어 음악의 본질을 이해하고 나아가 창의력을 기르게 한다. 그러나 우리 음악교육의 현황을 보면 20세기 음악어법으로 표현된 우리시대의 작품이 음악수업에서 거의 외면당하고 있으며, 고전·낭만주의 음악을 중심으로, 그것도 주입식이나 가창 위주의 수업방식으로 이루어지고 있다. 이에 본 연구자가 현대음악을 음악수업에 접근시키려는 의도가 여기에 있다. 이 연구에서는 현대음악의 특징을 이루는 요소중 리듬, 선율, 화성, 음색등 4영역의 개념을 개별적으로 탐구하고 각 요소를 유기적으로 관련시켜 즉흥 연주 및 신체적 표현활동, 가창, 기악, 창작, 감상과 같은 음악 경험을 통합적으로 지도하는 방법을 제시하였다. 이러한 경험은 학생이 학습의 주체가 되어 스스로 질문하고 토의하고 제작하는 창조적 활동으로 개념의 이해는 물론 나아가서 창조의욕을 높인다. 지도의 과정에 있어 각 요소에 대해서는 몇 개의 탐구과제로 나누고 하나의 탐구과제를 3단계로 전개하였다. 1단계는 과제를 제시하고 목표를 기술하는 단계, 2단계는 기초적인 요소에 관해 모든 음악적 활동을 통합적으로 경험하는 단계, 3단계는 학생들의 작품이나 작곡가들의 곡을 감상함으로 위와같은 활동을 정착시키는 단계이다. 그러나 수업의 진행에 있어서는 1단계와 2단계의 순서를 바꿔 행하는 것도 좋다. 창조적인 학습활동을 통하여 학생들이 현대음악을 탐구한다면 음악개념에 대한 이해는 물론 폭넓은 음악관을 갖게되고 따라서 음악적 가능성이 증진되리라고 생각한다. 현대음악이 창조성 계발이라는 예술교육의 사명을 다하기 위해서는 특히 우리의 교육현장에서 더욱 관심을 가져야겠고 그에 수반되는 교육방법도 연구되어져야할 과제라고 본다.;Twentith Century Music is related to the circumstances which we are under than any other age. Understanding twentith century music is like understanding ourselves and is also the basis for the future music. Teachers and students should have positive attitude towards twentith century music. And have creativity out of the old methods of musical education so as to accomplish an education of modern art that lays emphasis on the development of creativity and music education that is based on the nature of music. To achieve this purpose, it is very important to understanding and teaching twentith century music. This thesis is to study on the creative approach for teaching twentith century music. First of all, a teacher's faith and opinion of music education value should be fixed, and a general theory of music education has been reviewed for this purpose including a philosophical point of view, the aims and a concept of music education. A creative teaching method of twentith century music which has also been studied is hard t o approach in our classroom. Rhythm, Melodym, Harmony, and Timbre which are major elements of twentith century music, are mainly considered in this study. Rhythm includes irregular meters, changing meters, shifted accents and poly rhythm. Melody includes pentatonic scale, whole-tone scale and twelve-tone technique. For harmony, fourth-chord and fifthchord are treated in unison. For timbre, cymbals music, prepared piano and tape music are considered. Each project is divided into three steps. The first step is a introduction which presents the project. The second step is experiencing musical creativity and the third step is listening t o musical works created by students, teachers, or composers. In this step the concept of project is fixed more clearly. For the practical use of this study, a teacher should have more research and creative thoughts and create musical atmosphere and motivate students t o have musical experience. Hopefully this paper will be of help t o teachers who are interested in twentith century music having realized the necessity of developing the creativity of students against the circumstances under which we have many problems and taskes. Some suggestion as followings are required to aggressively introduce twentith century music in practical lessons. 1. Twentith century music should be studied along with the music of the other ages at a adequate ratio. 2. There should be close relationship between musicians and teachers. Research for development of teaching aids should be done to improve teaching methods and the quality of text books suitable for middle school students. 3. Workshops for teachers are required to upgrade the under- standing of twentith century music. 4. Final support should be required for creative motivations and better conditions of music education.
